What's great about it: Size, speed, ease of use
What's not so great: a very very very mild humming noise when the drive spins.
Just got this as a backup for my data on my laptop and as an additional space for my photos and videos.
Its pretty easy to install and use. Working well for a month now - though I must say I have used it like - 5 or 6 times now. It is not noisy, but you can hear the hum of the drive spinning when it is really quiet in the room and if you put ears close to it. A friend said WD drive that he has is even more quieter. But then, I can live with this very mild hum... no problem at all. Very good value for money! I got one for my friend too!

This is my second Seagate external hard drive, and so far it has not caused any problems. New one performs just as well as the old one. Cheers

What's great about it: Extremely easy to use!
What's not so great: Not super fast, but I knew that when I bought it
I bought this to back up my Macbook with Time Machine, and it works great! I'm new to Macs but it was so easy to use, I didn't have any problems. The only reason I scored performance like I did, was because it was a little on the slower side, but that's because I bought the 2.0 USB, not the 3.0 which is supposed to be a lot faster. But I didn't really care, just as long as it was easy to use, which it is! I definitely recommend!!

I was hoping to get a 1TB external HD for my Mac but picked up this 750gb one instead because of the supposed ease of use and also the price. The BB salesman was right... it was very easy to use. Good purchase for sure.

I bought this as we had filled out internal HD and it was perfect. I transferred all our pictures and videos to it. It was fast and easy to transfer the files to, and I actually like the portability of it now. i can bring it with and show family our pictures or add to it easily. Good solid product so far, no problems. i recommend this.

After 6 weeks of use, this drive is performing beautifully. The set-up was simple enough for a technophobe, no hardware or software conflicts noted. At this early stage, I would definitely recommend this or buy another one.
