What's great about it: cool look at night
What's not so great: nothing
I have had this in operation since 11/18/2011. I am real pleased with it. First of all, this came with exceptional packaging for shipping. This is important because you dont want to spend your time returning it cuz some chump business doesn't care enough about their item to package it right. There are some like that, see my review on the small Kaloric.
Out of the box, the first thing I noticed was very good quality materials, and craftmanship. All the controls are on the glass outside of the door. Just push for the temperature you want, or if you want the light on inside. Very nice and looks cool at night when the light is on.
Now this is not some super primo model, but look at how much money you spent on it. However, for the money, I think it is a good buy. I have seen a larger model same brand at Costco, for a little over $200, but that would not fit in my opening.
However, I like BB a lot. They have always treated me right there and I try to patronize them. You know a lot of people go their for the customer service and then buy somewhere else, that stinks. Buy from BB, come on, and when buying, buy this model wine chiller you wont be dissappointed. Oh yea, this unit runs whisper quiet, not like the Kaloric that sounded like a 747 winding up for take off from that short little run way in St. Martin, NA. Take a look at those photos on the web.
One last word, this is not a wine refrigerator. I live in Phoenix, so I will not be using it during the summer, to hot for the little guy and would probably kill it. For me, its a seasonal chiller, October-May.
Have fun and drink wine!

What's great about it: Most reviews I've read state that for being a low end model, the Silent 18 and Silent 24 models are both pretty reliable
What's not so great: Won't hold bottles that are longer or thicker than average.
I sent an email to the Wine Enthusiast customer support asking about both the Silent 18 and Silent 24 wine refrigerators being able to hold bottles of Riesling (which tend to be about 13.5 inches long). The response was that neither would hold Rieslings. They suggested I look at the Eurocave line, the least expensive running a minimum of $3195.00 compared to the $300 for the Silent 24.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
