upon setting up my NEW monitor, i noticed a dead pixel right away.my video card wasn't compatible with the monitor, so i was never able to really experience what it was capable of. returned the monitor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: easy, price, very nice
What's not so great: I haven't found any negatives yet.
The screen actually looks as large as my 23 inch, the colors are vibrant, and the blacks are deep. For the price, I haven't seen better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Height adjustment - for me I needed to purchase a monitor stand
I have always had great luck with ViewSonics over the years but had used another top brand recently since it came with my laptop. I quickly went back to ViewSonic for quality, clarity, and the sharpness of the colors. I love this model. I thought I wanted a larger monitor, but now that I have it I see it's perfect my use in my home office where I sit 2 feet from it. I love that it has an auto-adjust for glare and daylight. For me it is key as I work in a home office for anywhere from 10-14hrs a day and obviously I start when it is dark and end in dark, yet I never have to adjust the screen manually. The speakers are also very clear with good sound (they don't sound grainy). I would suggest you purchase the monitor stand (I have provided a separate review for this) to raise the monitor to a level height. Otherwise you'll be slightly looking down on it. I thought this was a great price for such a high quality monitor, and for me it was the perfect size.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product for price i paid. Great quality. Has speakers in the back as well but aren't as effective. Overall its a great product.
