What's great about it: Can hear my laptop from the next room
What's not so great: NOTHING - PERFECT
My Sony laptop has the worst speakers imaginable. I could barely hear when sitting on top of it. With these little speakers I can hear everything clearly - from the next room. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING ALSO. There was no manual in the box so i sent an email with questions. Responses specifically answered what I asked. I found this refreshing since so many times tech support at some companies don't seem to bother to try to understand the problem and respond with "canned" instructions that are useless. In terms of some previous comments about the quality (base sounds, etc.) - you have to be realistic - don't buy $20.00 speakers if you plan to use them to listen to Mozart. For everyday computer work these are IT.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We used these in our SUV with the kids' portable DVD player after they all wante to watch, but not enoughheadphones to pass around. For the price, we were very pleased with them. Sound quality is good for speakers that are not independently powered.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This produce isn't what the reviews, that I read, said it would be. The iPad 2's own speaker plays louder and clearer than these speakers do on half their power. I guess you get what you pay for, but for the price of these I would have thought their would be more bang for the buck. Not so much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Portability and Price
I wanted something highly portable that would boost the sound of my netbook while watching movies on the go. This is it. Great sound, for what I need it for. Nice boost for movies and audio books. Although decent, these are not great for music but at this price nothing really is. Cords are plenty long enough for any size laptop. I tried these out with my 17" laptop and the cords are fine. All around great value if you need a little boost over what your factory speakers produce.
I would recommend this to a friend!

i was amazed at the clarity and depth of sound from the least expensive speakers....if you just need a boost and do not use these as your primary listening speakers, save yourself the $.

What's great about it: Sound quality (for the price), portability
What's not so great: Cable length's
Just picked these up today for my grandfathers desktop computer (as I blew out one of his other ones) and I am quite shocked by how good they really sound.
I was expecting since they are small & "portable" that they sound would be good enough for him, but these are quite nice.
Comes with a battery pack where you can put 4 AAA's into it & run the speakers off that through the USB port it offers.
Nice & compact when they are together & it comes with a decent bag for carrying them.
If your looking for a nice pair of cheap speakers for around $20, I would get these.
CONS:
Only con I have with it is that the cables aren't very long (USB and 3.5mm) due to them being designed to mostly use right next to each other. But nothing that two extension cables cant fix easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

These speakers work great with my HP Mini. I simply love them! The sound is great and the price is perfect. The fact that they are portable is the best. I highly recommmend them.

I bought this speaker for use when at work. To my surprise this little thing packs a punch very loud plays well and do the job just right.

To begin, I purchased these rather small speakers for my Tilt 2 smartphone, especially for my new GPS navigation software, as the text-to-speech voice is not all that loud with the built-in speaker; certainly since the phone's speaker is on the bottom of the phone when in tilt mode.
As a previous reviewer said, these are not designed to sound GREAT in the low end. Each speaker is only .85" deep at it's greatest point, and very lightweight, so no "bass" should ever be expected - although the speakers do vibrate quite a bit when held. The cables are thin and somewhat delicate, so don't expect a long life of abuse.
The actual speaker dimensions are 3-1/8' wide, 4-3/4" tall, and 1-3/4" thick when combined together face-to-face magnetically. (storage mode) A very portable package!
All that being said, this pair is very loud and not all that 'tinny' for not having a larger amplifier - The small amp is built into the USB plug itself.
It also comes with a 4-AAA battery power pack that has a power switch and 5v DC input jack - so it doubles as a small diameter bullet plug power adapter (not included) to USB port converter.
Overall, I can appreciate the sound produced by these speakers. I gave it a small hit on Sound Quality in the ratings, but I would only give an Excellent on a pair of Bose speakers in the same dimensions if they had more bass response... but you'd probably pay $300 for them!

What's great about it: Cheap, good form factor, okay sound
What's not so great: Not audiophile rich sound, cords are a tad short
CAVEAT: these are not audiophile grade speakers. I actually consider myself to be one, but I am setting aside that sort of bias here.
On the whole, these are some nice speakers for the price. They come with a small carrying pouch, which is convenient. The speakers are actually smaller than they look when I see photos--not tiny, but not much bigger than a larger smartphone in terms of size. (they are not thick though)
They sound pretty good considering they are $20. Obviously they are budget speakers, probably used to share music when you have no other option, so with that in mind, I would highly recommend. They are reasonably clear and have decent mid presence as well. Not much real bass in these guys, but I don't think that can be expected in this form factor. For the average person, these are quite fine.
So I am rating 5 stars with portability and value in mind. The sound is okay at best compared to nice speakers, but I just don't think the average person cares that much.
I would recommend this to a friend!
