What's great about it: Ease of use, AA batteries, size, build quality
What's not so great: Nothing so far
First off let me say my Best Buy was great in price matching a very good price a local retailer had put on this unit.
I've owned 2 skycaddies which were good products, can't knock them.
A Calaway MX Upro which I just returned under Callaway's factory return/recall program.

The Garmin G3 doesn't have all the bells and whistles that are available out there, but I've found it's better to have a unit that offers what golfers need in a very easy to use package. It's accurate and I like the fact I can use AA batteries(buy the rechargeable NiMH batteries) and all the courses are preloaded(any updates are free thru their website).
In summary.....this is a keeper.
I would recommend this to a friend!
