What's great about it: Quality and ease of use
What's not so great: Nothing
I am very happy with this tripod and have used it with a Canon Camera and a Canon FS11 HD Video. I purchased tripod for the latter as it doesn't have image stabilization. I was impressed with the quality of the tripod and its easy to use leveling features by way of float bubbles in several places.
I think the pistol grip makes a huge difference. Just by squeezing the grip, it releases the platform and allows one to rotate it to the desired elevation and direction. Release the grip and it locks into place. When setting-up to record video ( I used to record 2 days of Workshop Presentation), it was very easy to position and level via the pistol grip instead of playing around with the length of each tripod length.
A nice bonus is that the camera mount has a quick release..but not so quick that your device might not be safe. Locking mechanism secures camera in place without any worries. Also, the Pistol Grip head and platform easily unscrew from top of tripod if you need to pack in your luggage or in a backpack. I am very glad I made this purchase.

What's great about it: The pistol grip and the quick release for the camera.
What's not so great: The height adjustment crank is awkward to turn.
After shopping extensively for tripods, this one seemed to be the best for me. I have severely arthritic hands and cannot manage difficult adjustments. The "pistol grip" is great, as is the quick release for the camera. For the price, it is sturdy, without excess weight. My first photos using this tripod were of the rising moon, and they came out great.

What's not so great: N/A
I find this tripod of very good quality, very durable and also very steady on uneven surfaces. It handles my CANON 60D and TAMRON 15-70mm lens with ease. These are my 2 biggest pieces that I use.

Bought this particular model because it look faily easy to use with the "trigger" type adjustment vs. knobs. The first day we used it a spring came off and we have yet to figure out where it goes. Planning to return for a different mode.

What's great about it: Height, Adjustability
I am using this tripod with the Canon T2i and the stock lens and I have had no issues, the tripod is very stable. I chose this tripod because it is one of the taller models, I am 6'7" and I don't have any problems using it. It is also very adjustable, It can be used from 23" to 61".
The pistol grip is very easy to use and the base has a groove so that it can rotate and take pictures in portrait or landscape. There are multiple bubble levels to ensure the positioning, it makes it very easy to level the camera even when on uneven ground.
It is a larger tripod made of aluminum, so it is not the lightest on the market, but for its size it is very manageable. I typically strap it to the side of my backpack when hiking, and it doesn't bother me.

What's great about it: Gets the job done. I have taken great long exposure shots in dark environments
What's not so great: Poor craftsmanship.
So the tripod is lightweight, easy to use, sturdy and gets the job done well. My only concern is I'm not sure whether it was bought, misused and then returned or if it lacks craftsmanship because everything aluminum is in great shape. No dents, no scratches but some of the plastic parts such as the crank for the center column look beat up and scratched and also two screws have fallen out and will not stay in because the thread is worn not in the screws but in the tripod.

What's great about it: good price, sturdy
What's not so great: bit heavy
For armatures with basic not too heavy DSLR cameras like Nikon D3000 range and with 55-200mm telephoto lens, this tripod will hold them without any problem.
The pistol style control with ball head is absolutely easy to adjust the camera.
I have fixed the mount pad to the camera permanently so if I have to attach it to the tripod it is already setup.

What's great about it: trigger pull to be able to move quickly
What's not so great: no carrying case.
The tripod is a great product, the only reason I rated the storage good is because I feel like it ought to have a storage case or some straps to carry it when not using it. It us very easy to use and quick to set up. It holds camara perfect and secure.

What's not so great: No complaints
This tripod works great for using the timer on my camera to snap family photos around the house. It's also useful for holding the camera when making home movies together with the kids. It's easy to set up and use, and seemed surprisingly solid when I took it out of the box.

The Sunpak 6600PG is an incredible bargain. It's sturdy, light, and has a pistol-grip ball head that works flawlessly. I defy you to find a better tripod at this price point (or even for $100 more). Buy it.

This tripod is so easy to adjust. The pistol grip is very good because it gives you a good hold to move it around. It is very steady. We use it with a camera and a spotting scope. So far we haven't found anything we didn't like about this tripod.
