What's great about it: Looks and function
What's not so great: It isn't cheap, but I feel it is worth every penny.
I purchased this oven as I continue to upgrade my kitchen with more professional appliances. I bought the 30" GE Profile convection oven to match the 5 burner GE Profile cooktop in my kitchen that I purchased last year. This oven has all the looks and functions any self proclaimed baking junky may be looking for. The appearance is very clean with the digital function panel on the top. The large oven door handle is solid and the door open down allowing you easy access to each of the three racks. At the bottom of the oven under the door is the vent and this never gets to hot where you could burn yourself even at 475 degrees.
You will find this oven very easy to use with it's digital one touch programming. It has many useful functions besides the basics like a proofing mode for breads to a warming mode. I especially like this function for it's versatility. I use it to heat plates during the cold season in WI so foods stay hot longer. This option also saves you the need to buy a warming draw for $1000 especially if space is tight in your kitchen. Other functions include probe sensor, delayed start, plus the self-cleaning function which is a time saver.
The first item I baked in the oven to test its convection capabilities was biscuits. The convection mode passed with flying colors because each biscuit was done to perfection with the same coloring. During this years Christmas I gave it a thorough work over utilizing all three racks at the same time and every dish was cooked to perfection no matter what rack it was placed on.
The oven is easy to use even by my older children who also are getting into cooking now. Just choose your desired mode, then your desired temperature and hit start. The oven will start it's temperature read out at 100 degrees. Once it reaches the programmed temperature you will hear 3 soft beeps to let you know the oven has temped. It takes the oven approximately 7 min. to hit 400 degrees. The oven came calibrated, but you made need to make adjustment to this for altitude differences.
Overall this oven will fulfill every wish for amateur to professional chef.

Very pleased with my new GE Profile oven. It is well made and has some great features for anyone who likes to cook/bake. I installed myself and it was very easy to do if you're replacing an old oven. I highly recommend.
