Good looking microwave with good functions.

We had to have this item delivered because it was not available in the store. Shipping was free so this was not a problem. The turn table dish was broken upon unpacking, but an escalation call to the store manager resolved this issue. We bought this model because of the underside light it provides on our stove top. We have not been disappointed. The turbo vent fan is a nice benefit too.

What's great about it: small size with large capacity, cooks evenly, perfectly popped popcorn
What's not so great: haven't found anything yet!
We've had this microwave for about 3 weeks now and it's been flawless! About 4 months ago we replaced our 12 yr old Whirlpool Gold microwave with the current model. It died after 3 months and both Whirlpool and Lowe's were not very good about it. I ended up getting a refund instead of waiting 3 months without a microwave for a replacement. Took my money to Best Buy and bought this microwave- which was much less expensive! This does the job very well. We don't "cook" meals with it, we reheat, pop popcorn, heat up canned veggies, etc mostly and it has been wonderful! It's very quiet when it operates! We are pleased, as long as it doesn't take a nosedive like the Whirlpool did after 3 months!

What's great about it: Very Quiet!!
What's not so great: Need tin snips if venting through the top of the unit.
I spent a lot of time looking at and comparing OTR microwaves. I ultimately purchased this LG, not the Consumer Reports Top Rated Samsung. Why?
My research found that this LG unit was comparable , but more quiet in operation. After using it, I can tell you this is the most quiet microwave I have come across. I was in the same room with my wife and didn't know the microwave was running, until I heard the completion "beep".
It does have many features found in a mid-level microwave, but frankly none of that matters to us. We primarly use a microwave to warm up stuff and to defrost the ocassionaly frozen hotdog, not cook thanksgiving dinner.
So, if you use your microwave as we do and are looking for a quiet mid-level unit, check it out.
I would recommend this to a friend!
