What's great about it: Easy to use, lots of space, great price
I have been looking for an external drive that had a lot of space but was sheek/attractive and easily portable. This was IT! Its a great deal for the money. now I know, years of memories and work will always be safe.

I bought this to use as a backup drive for my MacBook when I'm away from home. Plugged it in, formatted it for Lion and it works fine. It's a nice size, doesn't take up much space in my bag.
I did do a little research online about the Western Digital driver for Mac. You can download it from WD but the source I found says it's no better than what's in Lion already. I did not bother with it.

I am not strong on technology. This WD external drive has to run it's own software and you have to "unlock" it every time you first use it. I can't find how to run a back up of my hard drive and when I try to go online and find a manual for this external drive it is too frustrating.
