I bought and installed myself in my 07 F150 Supercrew. I did not add sat radio or backup cam. So I left the reverse wire and speedo wire not hooked up. I grounded the park brake wire to use DVD while driving. The sat ant was placed UNDER MY DASH, behind the gauge cluster (where Ford factory sat ant installs). It takes 1min to boot the system and finds gps signal within 5 seconds, consistently. Typing is a bit slow, but most stand alone gps units are so its not a big deal. Any issues had with this unit can usually be chalked up to a bad install. The old saying goes, if you want it done right then do it yourself.
Overall its a great unit for the price. TomTom nav works perfect. Dont hesitate to buy if you are looking, you will be glad you did. My only complaint isnt so much with this unit as it is with every nav unit: why do you only cater to iProducts? If i could hook up my Android phone to use the media functions on screen without using blutooth, id be happy.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything
The only nice thing about this unit is the back up camera, which has worked perfectly and looks great. However, this was an add on for a couple hundred dollars more (after installation). I am very sorry I purchased this product. 8 out of 10 times I can not get a GPS signal when I need one...and that's the whole point of a GPS system! The unit freezes sometimes and you cannot shuffle on your iPod. It just plays the songs in the same order every time which means you need to keep playing with it to listen to something different...which is not what I want to do while driving. The unit sometimes changes from the tuner to the iPod or Bluetooth or whatever it feels like at the time (again, more toying with the unit while driving). It takes a really long time to read a disk. I've had it for four months now and this weekend it has decided that it should shut itself off every five minutes. Geek Squad installed it and now I'm worried that either the unit or the Geek Squad has done something to damage my brand new car. I can only imagine how much it's going to cost me to undo this...
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Inaccurate, Free map updates

What's great about it: nothing..
What's not so great: expensive, slow, laggy, poor GPS signal
So much slower than the JVC headunits.. also constantly takes 30+ minutes to get a GPS fix making it useless.
Using a flashdrive is slow, and it takes way to long to select a track far down on your playlist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
