What's great about it: Looks, design, built well
What's not so great: heavy, glossy finish shows finger marks
First of all please know what you want and what you are buying. This is a MECHANICAL keyboard. It will make a very noticeable click when you press keys. It's one of the attractions of this keyboard. If you want a quiet key press this is NOT your keyboard.
I love the multiple colors you can have. The only minor disappointment is I play a lot of my games in the dark, and while the numbers on the top row light up, the shift+number character doesn't light up. I know I'm being picky but just something i've noticed.
They key board feels heavy, which to me makes it feel well built. Now because its mechanical and has a lot of bells and whistles, it has a lot of parts that can break down. I've noticed a few review talking about it not light up or working. Just make sure where you buy it from has a return policy you can work with. Keep receipts until you confirm it works as it should. This is just common sense and good judgement from any electronics buyer.
The keyboard also has hookups for your headphones/mic which can be nice if you dont use a wireless headset. There are also USB ports on the back which i use for my mouse. It helps with wire management going to my rig.
The keyboard MAY USE up to 2 usb ports to connect because of the amount of power it needs. Shouldn't be an issue with today's computers, but worth noting.
Finally It has a braided cable which helps with the potential cable mess you could of had with this board.
PS.... I kept the box it came in for the plastic cover to put over the keyboard when I'm not using it. Helps keep dust, pet hair, etc out of it.
Overall I LOVE this keyboard. While I paid the premium price for it, i'm not sure its worth the $120 but other than that it is absolutely awesome. (Games I play: WoW, LOTRO, CS:S, Diablo III)

What's great about it: Looks great, keys are light, fast and extra responsive. Loads of great features.
What's not so great: Defects, defects, defects
I love and have been using Razer products for a long time. I might be a rare case but I've had 3 different units, all with keys and lights that would randomly just not work or stick with other keys. This is not acceptable in $130 keyboard. On paper... this is the greatest gaming keyboard I've ever used. When it works, it's fantastic. In reality, I feel obligated to provide an accurate review of the product I received. Trash. It comes with a one year warranty but when you RMA it and they send you back another faulty board its just a lesson in frustration. Sorry Razer. My Mamba works great...

What's great about it: Nothing really.
What's not so great: Loud key clicks, heavy and bulky fingerprint magnet.
I couldn't even get it powered on. I called tech support, was on hold for a while and the guy I talked to was clueless as to why it wouldn't power up.
The unit is bulky and heavy and typing on it, the keys make LOUD clicking sounds like the old computers from the 80's. My unit was DOA. I am kind of glad it didn't work because I didn't like it once I took it out of the packaging.
I am going to buy a Logitech gaming keyboard- they are better quality.

What's great about it: Stable, durable, built like a tank (it's HEAVY), lighting is excellent, software is cool.
What's not so great: Shockingly loud key switches. Circa 1980s IBM loud.
This keyboard has a great feel, and is a true joy to use for typing. I really like the illumination, which is variable and can even "breathe" or purposely flux brighter and dimmer to make a breathing effect to the lighting. The keys have a wonderful, clicky feel of a classic mechanical keyboard, and actually encourage rapid touch typing without having to bottom out the key. With all these pros, it has one major fault for my use case - it is LOUD. I mean seriously neighbor-disturbing loud. Given that my particular use case is late night (it is a LIGHTED keyboard) and I have both a wife and a 1 year old, it is loud enough to make it unusable in the needed timeframe. It would keep my wife up in the next room. There is another version available with Cherry MX black keyswitches that is considerably quieter, the "stealth" edition, and I would highly recommend that keyboard. With the Cherry MX blue switches it is simply too loud for a quiet nighttime environment unless you occupy that environment alone (or are in a remote part of the house).

What's great about it: Excellent, positive mechanical key-action; adjustable backlighting.
What's not so great: Keys are a bit noisy.
Overall I've been extraordinarily pleased with Razer products, this keyboard in particular has been a great purchase. I upgraded from a Lycosa to the BlackWidow due to lighting conditions in my office, and because of the mechanical key-action (I prefer a "real" feeling keyboard for work).
The keyboard is pleasantly angled - not too much, not too little, but I do wish there was additional adjustment available. There are few keyboards with that particular feature (ergonomic designers, are you listening...?), so it wasn't a dealbreaker.
As far as the bundled software goes... I would recommend, if you're using Windows 7 64-bit, that you forego installing it from disc, and instead download the latest from the Razer website. Once installed, the macro keys are easy to program (I have some set up for Photoshop, etc, so I'm not sure about gaming, but I'm sure it's a snap).
The backlighting is adjustable (low, medium, high, "fade" - gimmicky, but nice when the computer is locked, and off). Backlight color is NOT adjustable as on the higher-end Logitech mechanical boards however - hope you like blue!
Overall, I'd highly recommend this keyboard, for professionals as well as gamers.

What's great about it: key lighting, Blue MX keyswitches, support
What's not so great: expensive, really thick usb cable,
More expensive than Das Keyboard. Has good feeling keys and solid construction, nice backlighting and adjustment, macro keys work good, software isnt very bloated, I bought this because i was returning a Logitech G510.. This keyboard was a huge upgrade from the G510.. a must have for programmers and gamers alike. WARNING if you have roomates do not buy this keyboard it is pretty loud.

When I felt the keys on this mechanical keyboard, I just had to have it!
It has a great feel, and will increase your typing speed.
The blue backlight is nice and bright.
The Logitech G110 has a better layout, but this keyboard is much better for typing.

What's great about it: Sleek look, Macro key recording, Lit keys, 5 programmable profiles, Stickers !
What's not so great: Slanted keys, There fine once you get used to them.
I just bought my black widow ultimate today at my local best buy and I am already loving it, The lighting on it is very good [ Has 5 different light modes ] low, medium, high, slow strobe, off. It also has cherry mx red switches that have a very nice click to them. So far i have not had any problems except my left key was a little hard to push down, I quickly poped off the key and put it back on and it works perfect. One thing it has that i was impressed about is macro recording, You can program a key to perform unlimited stokes with one push of a key. You can also chose the time between key stokes. Another good thing it has is 5 programmable key profiles, Good for if you have that certin game rigged up to the keys you love the most. Over all i love this keyboard already it has such a sleek design too it.

What's great about it: Response, backlighting
What's not so great: Firmware
I normally love Razer products, its usually all I buy, however, I am severely disappointed with the Black Widow Ultimate. Don't get me wrong, I love the key response, the layout (except for the USB pass through and the headphone/mic jacks right in the way of the mouse), the levels of backlighting, and the macro/key reprogramming feature. Its the firmware that keeps having issues. Everytime my system performs an auto restart, I have to plug in another keyboard, either USB or PS/2, and redownload and install the firmware. I am running W7 Home Premium 64 bit, have Nvidia motherboard, Intell Q8200 Core2 Quad processor, 8gb ram, Nvidia 1gb video card, 2 tb hdd. If I restart myself, no problems, but if system is shut down either due to power outage (does happen occasionally here in Idaho) or a system update, gotta redownload the firmware. It gets quite annoying. I have absolutely no issues with any of my other Razer products, mice, headphones, Arcosa keyboard; just the BW Ultimate's firmware.

What's great about it: mechanical keys, the entire keyboard can be set and macroed to your liking
What's not so great: you get spoiled very easily off of this keyboard.
I haven't thoroughly tried this keyboard out to its fullest yet waiting on a good mmo for that :S none the less this keyboard is amazing i didn't buy it for the backlighting i bought it for the sweet cherry blue mechanical keys. and i must say they feel amazing under my fingers, i think i have just further spoiled myself with these because now i will never be able to go back to normal rubber stopper keys. and the description was semi confusing but the ENTIRE keyboard can be customized with hotkeys, and the on the fly macro system is decent i will probably use it once TOR comes out. but the keys are absolutely amazing if you're looking for a silenced keyboard don't buy this but if you're loud and proud and want the best thing out there this keyboard is for you

What's great about it: Feel and build quality.
What's not so great: Key presses can be a bit loud, nut I like it.
It works great and it feels great, I would definitely buy it again. Before purchasing it I read some reviews and noticed that some people complained about the space bar not working after a day or so. I had the same problem but after opening the razer software I noticed that the spacebar key had been disabled. Once I enabled it again and hit "Apply" it was all back to normal. The spacebar glitch hasn't happened again so I am going to assume it doesn't happen often. Other than that glitch, everything works flawlessly for me.

The keyboard is great but the only problem that I have had with the one that I have bought the lights on the keyboard have started to go out with in two days of use. What's great about it: The Backlight, programmable keys, tactile feedback, response time of the keys, media keys function better than expected
What's not so great: Switch Choice, Glossy finish, Location of USB/Audio ports
I own this Keyboard, I didn't buy it directly from Best buy, although the price would've been the same.
I love that it has a Backlight, not many Mechanical Keyboards do have this feature. (In fact, there are VERY few.)
It IS a mechanical keyboard that uses Cherry Blue Switches. You can't expect it to be quiet...I have no idea why Razer chose Blue over Black/Clear/Brown Switches...since those would've been a better choice for gaming. The way the blue switch is, it doesn't always recognize 2 consecutive key presses. (Due to the how the Blue Switch actually works) Programmable Macro Keys are a plus, though I never use them. The different settings of Brightness for the backlight are amazing. The media keys work flawlessly as well!
I would recommend this keyboard for a player who plays FPS's. However any game like Starcraft, WoW, Gunz:The Duel, etc that requires rapid key presses. I'd recommend a mechanical keyboard with a Cherry Black or Brown Switch.
Also, who decided the location of the audio/USB ports? On the RIGHT side where most people have their mouse? REALLY?
Also, if you type a lot when you're not gaming (College Student) This Keyboard is GREAT!

Pros: I recent purchased this keyboard and have been in love ever since. I play world of Warcraft and use this + The Razer Naga Epic and with all the combined arangements of keybinds, assure that any and every move you want bound can/should be bound.
Cons: Now the only thing I do not particularly like about this keyboard, is the clicking that it makes when you use each key...I would recommend using a different keyboard while typing research papers or other long essay type writings...
Then again this is a gaming keyboard and does it's job extremely well.... I will recommend to all my friends.

What's great about it: Pretty much everything, plug it in and go it does everything and has amazing keystroke feeling.
What's not so great: Symbols and functions on keys aren't backlit, Price is a little high but worth it
This is a great keyboard, It's mechanical so it uses actual switches for each key. The Anti-ghosting is superb and the keys feel amazing. This one has a USB throughport on it that runs a full speed USB 2.0 to the side of the keyboard so you can easily plug in flash drives and stuff. I thought this was nice but it's on the same side as the mouse so it's not very good for plugging in some stuff like portable hard drives and stuff with wires cause they will hang out into your mouse area. The keyboard layout is adjusted slightly so you can reach some keys a little easier like the F keys, the function key and buttons on it are nice so you can control your audio and do your Macros from the keyboard during a game so you don't have to go back and forth between the windows screen and what you're playing.

What's not so great: Little noisy, cost too!
I love that keyboard but not like LOVE IT!! It can get kind of noisy when playing since its a mechanical keyboard, But overall, this is a superb product from Razor. I rather spend this much money then on the $200.00 Logitech keyboard!!
