What's great about it: Great Ableton Controller, Straightforward and easy to use
What's not so great: Ableton does not seem to work very well with other programs like Virtual DJ, Only comes with Ableton Lite
I got this controller about a month ago and it works really great. It is easy to set up and easy to use. It comes with Ableton in box, for which the Launchpad is designed to be used with. Overall, the Launchpad is a great controller, and works well with Ableton. The only two drawbacks are that the version of Ableton packed in with the controller is the "Lite" version, lacking some of the nicer features, and some issues using the software in conjunction with other audio programs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Simple to use, perfect size, glows in the dark, good build quality.
This is the perfect add-on for any laptop Ableton Live user. Controls map by default to your set. Very easy to figure out and trigger clips. Currently playing clips are green, available clips are yellow, Record is Red. Makes a great arrangement tool -- make a bunch of clips, and you'll be banging out tracks on the fly in seconds. Comes with right angle USB cable that hugs the side of the device. Form factor is perfect -- thin enough to fit in a secondary pocket of your laptop bag. Fits my needs way better than the bulky APC products. This is perfect -- just what I was looking for!
