What's great about it: Best version of Windows yet
What's not so great: Still too heavy for netbooks
Best version yet of Windows. Bought it to replace the starter version on my netbook. Windows in any flavor is too heavy for a netbook, but this was easy enough to upgrade and works as expected

got it with a netbook purphase, very good deal. easy installation and download. i didn't have any problems as other ppl have mentioned. very glad that i got the netbook with the win7 upgrade, netbook handles it very well too.

What's great about it: You get a Full Home Premium version of Windows7!
What's not so great: Nothing!
There's no two ways about it - if you are buying a netbook, by all means get the Windows Anytime Upgrade. I paid only $20 for it at the time of computer purchase. You simply cannot go wrong with that!
You must get a 2GB memory upgrade before installing the Windows upgrade, but the memory is only about $40, if you shop around.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Value for price.
What's not so great: Difficulty of online upgrade.
I purchased an Asus Netbook loaded with Winows 7 Starter and wnated the full functionality of Windows 7 HP. The $20 up charge was a good buy. I am happy with all aspects of Win 7 HP except for the online upgrade process. I found it to be more difficult and confusing than expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this Windows7 upgrade as part of a special deal when purchasing my netbook. It only ended up costing me $19.99 which is definitely a steal!
Installation was super fast and easy, and my comp has so many more features since I upgraded (personalized backgrounds, more display options, able to manage more programs at once), as well as faster processing speeds.
From time to time my comp does have the "not responding" message with web pages but not too often.
Well worthe the money. look out for special deal pricing if purchasing a comp at the same time.

Purchased this when I bought my netbook. When I tried to install it, the website info on the keycard was incorrect. Took me a while to find the correct webpage. Once I did the upload was fine.

What's great about it: Great improvement over Win7 Starter
What's not so great: Full $75 price might be a bit high
I wasn't sure upgrading from Win7 Starter to Home would make a big difference but for just $20 with the purchase of a netbook I thought it was worth a shot, and I'm glad I did it.
For one thing I really liked some of the added features in Win7 Home that were missing in Starter. I'm very happy to have those back. I also noticed a notable improvement in the responsiveness after installing the Home version.
I'm still not sure it is worth the full $75 price, but I wouldn't hesitate at $20. Even at the full $75 price I would think real hard about it now that I've experienced the difference. If you feel like spending the money, I would say go for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Windows 7 starter is a rip-off
The install fro on BOTH HP net books, had to abort and restart BOTH net books in order to finish the installation. In my opinion, Windows 7 starter addition is a rip-off by Microsoft to get buyers to spend more money.
I would recommend this to a friend!
