What's not so great: Very weak.
Picked up only closest station, which is about 15 miles away, no matter where I set it. Other stations, which were over 35 miles away, were not picked up. Best buy representative told me this worked that far out, with the amplifier, but amplifier (that came with it) did not help. I tried setting the unit in every window and it did not help. I went outside and held it up in the air and it barely helped. It did matter which way it was pointed so it appears to be somewhat directional for weak signals. I moved on to trying a set of power amplified rabbit ears and they actually worked better but what I really need is an external omnidirectional antennae on at least a 15 foot tower.

The product was easy to hook up, and picked uo 25 channels indoors. The channels were clear and crisp. Used to watch the super bowl.

What's great about it: No antannae lines to move.
What's not so great: No reception, wasted my time, gas money, and energy.
This thing is garbage. I was reccomended this product by a bb associate. He did not know what the heck he was talking about. Got home hooked it up, not one channel! I have a new 46" samsung tv so I know it's not the tv. Very disappointed!

What's great about it: Great HD reception
What's not so great: If you slightly move the Adaptor or the wire you loose some of your channels.
I thought this was a great product it picked up close to 30 channels and they looked as good as my satellite tv in 1080p. I dont know if it was because of my HD TV or the antenna or both but it looks good. I was amazed with how many channels I picked up especially in my location is in the middle of nowhere.

What's great about it: Easier to adjust than rabbit ears.
What's not so great: Only slightly better reception than rabbit ears.
Wanted better reception than what rabbit ears was giving me and only slightly improved it. Sales rep said this model rarely returned. I suppose if no one had anything to compare it to, they'd probably keep it. If you want to save money, go with ordinary rabbit ears. You might have to adjust them all the time, but you will be saving money both on the product and electric bill (this device requires electricity). This product will work, but so will rabbit ears.

What's great about it: Looks
What's not so great: Reception
I bought this one from Best Buy and tried it for a few days. It only received several channels that I achieved with my old rabbit antenna. So there are no improvements considering the price tag. I returned it and got the Clearstream 4 which receives more channels.

What's not so great: some signal loss
We live directly across the East River form NYC (less than 4 miles from transmission).....get over 20 channels well....when weather is bad we lose some signal...
Easy to install, worth checking out, and Best Buy has a great return policy if not happy...give this a shot.

What's great about it: Reliable reception
What's not so great: Price
Indoor reception is always tough with digital TV. Building materials combined with lower elevation makes receiving the line of sight digital stations particularly difficult. After struggling with several other antennas, the Micron was able to receive 23 channels after my first scan. Most of my stations are about 17 miles away with the farthest being 26 miles. It was the first indoor antenna that I tried (out of 5) which received all available channels. I got the Micron for a bedroom TV and the higher elevation likely helped.
Those posting negative reviews are apparently unaware that you must scan for channels. Digital TVs will not add them automatically! Also, all TV manufacturers set the antenna input to "cable" by default, which will also result in no channels received. You have to change the input on your TV's menu to "antenna" or it will not work!
Amplifiers can be useful in helping with weak signals or poorly made tuners, but an amp can only increase what's received by the antenna, it will not "pull in" a non existent signal. You can overdrive a tuner with too much signal amplification making matters worse. One of the reasons I liked the Micron was that it was the only antenna with a variable gain amplifier. I have found the best results on the lowest setting. If you live in a valley, or more than 30 miles from the towers, don't expect an amp to replace the missing signals , instead you should buy at an outdoor antenna.
If you are looking for a magic antenna , it does not exist. but this is likely the best indoor antenna on the market.

What's great about it: It looks cool
What's not so great: It doesn't do what I need it to.
The antena was easy to set up and the scanning went easily. This unit didn't pick up the major network stations in my market. When I called tech support, or the number labled Learn Don't Return, I was told this unit will not pick up any VHS stations. Their advice, return the product.
I looked over the packaging when I returned the unit. I didn't see anything about this being a UHF antenna only.

What's great about it: Amazing picture quality
What's not so great: price?
I decided to cancel my cable subscription to save some money and though I would give this antenna a try. All I can is is WOW this antenna is amazing. I am actually getting more channels with this antenna then I was able to get through my cable provider. Of course many of the channels are not in Engish (but they are additional channels none the less).
I kid you not that the channels look much clearer then they did with my HD receiver with Cox Cable. It is amazing to see how clear the channels look.
I would 110% recommend this antenna to anyone looking to save some money.

What's great about it: Looks good, nothing else
What's not so great: Does not work! Cheaply made product at high price
I bought this thinking that I will be getting the best reception, but did not. $80 for a very cheap plastic device, I tried everything! I hung it next to a window, moved it around the entire room, I even moved my tv to get this thing to take a good picture! And nothing! The amplifier does nothing! Right when you open the box the is a sticker on the unit that says please learn before you return, what? You want us to spend $80 and it doesn't work out of the box? So I learned, then I returned and bought the $30 non amplifier RCA one and it work and took an amazing picture right away. So stay away from this one if you live in NYC. Not a good product at all... Save your money and buy the RCA.

What's great about it: Attractive design and simple installation
What's not so great: Price
I switched from Time Warner Cable to Direct TV. The Direct TV HD Receiver was not streaming local TV station HD signals (1080i). The picture was fuzzy and just horrible. So I decided to look into a table-top direct HD antenna. I found mixed reviews on Clearstream's earlier model CSM-1. I was a little apprehensive but realized Best Buy was offering the new model CSM-1A which includes an amplifier. Setup took only a few minutes. I have it connected to my Samsung widescreen and through the Samsung setup HD channel scanning was a breeze. I now receive crystal clear HD 1080i signal from my local TV broadcast stations. I have not experienced any dropouts. I am 100% satisfied with this product.
I strongly encourage anyone to view reception options for your specific location at AtennaWeb:
