What's not so great: THE LOUDNESS
Purchase this item thinking i was going to rock out while working out. Well to my disbelieve, the item was not loud enough and my gym is very, very small. The good thing was that it was small enought to place next to me. If this thing was alittle bit louder, I would love it. O' well.

What's great about it: Portability, simplicity
What's not so great: A little pricey
I bought this for camping trips, it works out great. It's an attention grabber that's for sure. Everyone is always amazed that such good sound quality comes from such a small speaker. I wish it was just a tad bit louder. Also, sometimes it will fall off the surface it's sitting on because the bass is so powerful in it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Fairly clean sound. Easy to set up.
What's not so great: Lacking volume
I like the Jambox for its ease of use, portability and it has a nice sound. Don't expect a boom box, though. It beats the heck out of the sound that comes out of portable devices and is a great addition to Android devices, iPhones, iPods and iPads. It has a stronger bass than what you will get out of any of those and more volume. However, if you are expected a lot of sound, you will be a bit disappointed. The sound volume is good, just not quite as loud as I had hoped. Other than that it was great, especially if you can get it on sale like I did.

What's great about it: Good for listening to music
What's not so great: Handsfree calling
I love this device. Now I can listen to PANDORA while Im in the shower without needing to have my big stereo sitting on the counter to plug my phone into. With the right settings I am getting the same performance out of this little speaker that I got from my stereo. Has great bluetooth range, easy to setup, and has some cool personalization options with different voices and handsfree calling apps. Only downside is on very rare occasions when it connects to my Blackberry it automatically calls the last number in my call history.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Great for music and for conference calls using iPhone.
What's not so great: Nothing not to like.
A friend has one and I was shocked at the sound quality from full, low bass to clean, clear highs. Pop to classical music could all be experienced well. When paired to iPhone it lets me just push a button on top to take calls with excellent speakerphone quality, then goes right back to the music. I couldn't be more impressed. As well designed as an Apple product, and that says something.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For the people who knock it because it doesn't get really loud - it's 6 inches!! Do you really expect it to fill an auditorium? Look, this product is expensive, but if you can afford it (I did because I had a gift card that knocked it down for me) it is a great product. The sound is rich and pure and it is plenty loud enough to fill any average room in any house. It is feature packed, feels solid/well built, and extremely portable. I'm glad I bought it.

What's great about it: Seems to be well built.
What's not so great: Just not enough juice to justify the high price.
If this were $89 it would be a great investment. But for $200 bucks, it just doesn't produce enough sound to be used for more than background music in a small office. Also, as it plays, it wiggles around... I'm sure if you have it on a table, it will eventually find the floor all by itself. It's certainly built well and has some nice features, but for the price.... Nah.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I needed a portable bluetooth speaker for my iPad. I liked the size of this when I saw it in the store. Unfortunately, there was no way to test it in the store. When I got it home, it had big sound for such a small device but it wasn't what I expected for the price.

What's great about it: Sound quality for both speaker phone and music; portable, too.
What's not so great: There's some sticker shock with the price...
I've used this for conference calls as a speakerphone linked with BluTooth from my cell phone. I've also used this for streaming music from my iPad. It's better than I thought. Though the price was more than I wanted, the portability makes it worth it.
I have yet to push it to see how long the battery will actually last. In bursts of a couple of hours use at a time, so far so good.
Good quality, good sound, good portability. I've already had a friend buy one and he's loving his too. This is one of the best things Jawbone has come up with.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Price (value for the money though)
I am simply impressed with the audio quality on this small device. I mainly purchased this to use the BT audio out from my iPhone and have decent sound. I am able to dock my phone on a charger and move about the house with the speaker in tote. An added bonus is that with the live apps I can controll many functions of my iPhone 4s including incoming/outgoing calls from the speaker itself.
I have the Ford Sync system in my main vehicle so I can't speak about the hands free part, but am so impressed with the audio clarity and quality that I am going to test it out in my wife's vehicle.
The only drawback that I have is that the "live audio" feature severly restricts the volume. In most instances this is not a big deal, but it can hinder sound in some cases.

Great speaker. I was surprised by the quality coming from such a small speaker. It has worked like a charm. Blue tooth works great. It sounds great. Very small and portable and blue tooth range is good. Great purchase and very happy with it. Battery charge last a long time also.

Great price relative to other sellers. Great ease to pick up at store. Only complaint was I didn't see it in the store, but found it online and then picked up at same store I originally looked at.

As far as wireless bluetooth speakers go, the Jambox is the platinum standard. Is it worth $150 or $200 USD? Difficult to say with all the competition but if all things are equal around pricing, the Jambox is the best one you can buy right now.

Got this a month ago and it is perfect for the iPad. Totally portable and great sound for the size/wirelessness factor. It is pricey but worth it if you can afford it. Great design.

What's great about it: sound quality, cool factor, ease of use, battery life

I bought myself a Jambox a couple months back for use at the office. It takes up almost no space, fits perfectly almost anywhere because of its shape, and constantly gets comments for how cool and easy to use it is. I loved it so much I bought one for my brother in law for Christmas. I wish I could give this 4.8 because it's so close to perfect, my only complaint is that I wish it would get a little louder. It's perfect for office use, or small gatherings of friends for background music, but not quite loud enough for noisier situations. One example of this is when I tried to watch a movie on my iPad while doing dishes. With the Jambox maxed out, I couldn't hear dialogue in the movie over the sound of my kitchen faucet, which in my opinion is not that loud. Otherwise, I absolutely love this thing.

What's great about it: Small, loud, full range, long batt life
What's not so great: the cover is hard to put on/take off.
I bought this for my wife b/c she uses the onboard speakers in her galaxy tab and they sound like all tweeter...the high pitch tinny sound drove me nutz.. Now she uses the jam box and you get to hear the whole song not just the tinny sound of a tab or phone. My ears can relax. Bass is good but its not gonna thump hard and rattle the windows. Too small for that so its not audiophile sound quality but lightyears ahead of a tab or phone. Battery lasts forever. Its real easy to pair, I have paired to my HTC Inspire phone and DJayed a party in the living room! Blue tooth means no wires! You can put the thing anywhere!
