What's great about it: Everything!
I purchased this scanner to begin working on preserving photos of my grandparents from their childhood and beyond. The photos are old, delicate and irreplaceable. I had high hopes for this scanner and it has more than met my expectations. The scanned photos turned out perfectly! One was a photocopy of a picture yet the quality of the scanned image is as good as an original. The scanner itself is very gentle with these old photos. Lines that appeared during the first scan were easily taken care of by using the included calibration sheet.
I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I now have the ability to preserve and document my family's history easily combined with the convenience of doing so without taking the photos from my grandma's house. In addition, I also have a way to save family photos from film cameras and rid myself of boxes of negatives.
This scanner is worth every penny!

What's great about it: small/easy to use.
What's not so great: Price.
Of course....the better quality of your picture-the better it will turn out when scanned. It goes faster when scanning on lowest setting and pics still turn out nice. MAKE SURE when scanning pictures you put the picture in at the opposite end of where you turn it on. Even the Geek didn't know this, and I was ready to return it again when I figured it out. When using a full sheet of paper of course it will work since the "grabber" is getting touch with a full sheet. I've scannned thousands of pictures, and haven't had to clean it yet, and I've had a lot of pictures with photo album backing stuck to them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Ease in operation. Reliable even after 8,000 scans
What's not so great: Nothing found so far
I originally bought one for myself 2 years ago. I have loved it so much, this is my favorite gift to send to friends, which this purchase was for. I fell in love with the ease of the scanner immediately. I have scanned every photo AND important paper in our house and also my mothers photos and papers. Over 8,000 scans and have yet to have one problem with it. I now have all the family photos and papers forever scanned and safe. I have sent a copy of the scans to a family member to keep in safety in case we ever have a fire/earthquake. At least I will always have access to all my family photos and papers. It's also fun to send photos to my friends and family, whenever I email them, since they are available. Have fun saving your families memories.

What's great about it: Very easy to use, even kids can help.
What's not so great: Wish it had a carry case for travel.
Got this as a gift from my kids, it's great we scan photos together, share photos, I even take it with me when visiting family out of town to scan their photos so I can have a copy, no more going to the copy center to get copies and no more lost photos because they can be stored on SD card or on the computer. Also makes a great gift for scrappers because you will always have extra copies for other projects.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was looking for something like this for a long time. I asked at the stores and no one knew of this product. Finally found it on line. Quickly scans.
