Great songs, great dance moves. HOURS OF FUN! I love this game. I got it for a great price on bestbuy.com and had it shipped to store. A few things that could been fixed when you are chosing songs and game play, but they fixed it on Dance Central 2. I love both of them.

What's great about it: Everything. Just plain fun!
We were used to the Just Dance games on Wii. We loved those. Bought Kinect and Dance Central for Christmas and haven't touched Wii since. My kids (and myself) love this game even more than JD3 on Kinect! You won't regret the purchase.

What's great about it: You can battle an opponent
What's not so great: only 2 players.
If you love to dance or just want to dance in the privacy of your own home or have a party this game is great fun. I enjoy every minute when I play. It also has a dance workout feature.

What's great about it: The movement - easy excercise for fun
My Grandchildren are just really beginning to Dance and they love to play this Kinect DVD. It gets them up and moving from the couch! This has proven to be a good excercise motivator.

What's great about it: love the music
What's not so great: can't get my hands and feet to work together, a personal problem
So far haven't played this much but the times I have it is great fun. I bought it to give me some cardio at home and learn a few new moves. I love to do Zumba a few times a week but thought this would give me some variety.

What's great about it: Song list, different characters, different venues, learn new dance moves, fun for the whole family
What's not so great: Only two can dance against each other at one time
This is probably my favorite game for Kinect! It has a great song list to choose from, different characters to pick, different game modes and more! Your whole family can enjoy this game even if you are not that good at dancing! If you play it enough you can actually improve your dancing skills! I would highly recommend this game if you are looking for one of the best Kinect games there is!

What's great about it: grate skill builder and exercise.
What's not so great: not my favorite songs, meh.
It is harder than it looks at first but the easy mode beginner songs make for progress and satisfaction. And I like the coach he is somewhat funny.
I am no dancer and not into dance music but this is fun. I got it for the family and we all like it.

What's great about it: Fun, dance moves, music
What's not so great: Hard to pause if say you need to answer the phone
This game is tons of fun. Especially if you're ok to laugh at yourself. It even has a 'freestyle' feature where you can insert your own moves and it records you. Also love the 'workout' feature where it tells you just how many calories you've burned catching up on the lastest moves. If you're not used to dancing, be prepared to sweat!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy, Fun, Great music
What's not so great: User interface can be difficult, hard to play 2-player, limited song collection
I love this game. It's so much fun if you want to entertain a small party. My only problems were that I wish it came with more modern songs or more 80s songs (but I think they want to make a spinoff of just 80s songs). Also, it is difficult to play with more than one person as you have to take "turns" rather than doing it simultaneously. I heard that XBox is working on 2-player modes for the Kinect, so maybe this will be easily fixed. Lastly, the user interface can be difficult to use if you don't have quick reflexes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: A lot of comedic fun
What's not so great: frustrating at times
This is something that is sometimes frustrating, but over all fun. Me being a typical uncoordinated guy... I can follow and have fun with a majority of songs... The only down view is if you want to really unlock the game you really have to have a majority coordination and I don't have time to build up that much.. But it is still a blast and we have fun mocking the uncoordinated (mostly me) at get togethers...
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this game after reviewing the comments about it online. I had just purchased the kinect and wanted to put it through its paces. Got this home and played for about 3 hours with my wife. Both of us were sweating up a storm and loving it. The kinect does a very good job tracking and scoring the dancing. There are times, though rare, where it feels like you're doing everything right, and it tells you something is out of place. This may be due to lighting, distance from the kinect, or perhaps the alignment of the cosmos. I'm a bigger guy, and I've been gaming most of my life. While this won't replace the desire to play CoD or Mass Effect, this is an excellent investment and an absolute blast to play with others.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This game has been so much fun! My two sons are battling as I type. It's keeping them occupied and they're doing a bit of cardio at the same time. The game does a great job tracking movement. The announcer's feedback is helpful and not at all over-bearing. Great Game!

What's great about it: Fast paced. Practice makes perfect. It will get your heart rate up! Music. Anyone can participate.
What's not so great: Kinect interface, but it works. If you want this for easy points.....it's not one of those games. You have to move. =)
Ok little back log here. First off 95% of reviews are just a waste of time. When someone puts time into a review you/they have to be objective when reading/writing the contents. Find out why they are unhappy or happy. Sometimes it's because the game isn't like Guitar Hero or something irrelevant like that.
So. Let me start by saying this game is exactly what you expect. It is a rhythm base game like DDR, not about foot placement, but style and pace, in order to get the heart rate up. This game has a wide variety of music, the graphics are simple, but easy on the eyes without distraction. You will miss out on steps and it is fast paced! But what people miss here is......the same thing will happen in a real Zumba class. Practice makes perfect and you will soon anticipate the moves. The coach shows you whats coming with hand direction, not voice. So watch her subtle moves and listen to her for her praise. It helps. Great for hand/eye coordination. You will burn 350-500 calories a session and there is a calendar to monitor your workouts as well. It helps to keep track.
My wife has been doing this for over a month and every time she is sweating and red in the face. The most important part? The program has a warm up and cool down phase. This is a great way to work out and it trains your body to work into the event. This will also help with injury and soreness.
Why 4 stars? Because I'm a video game aficionado so to speak. All of the reasons I gave it 4 stars have nothing to do with the game itself. I feel a 5 star rating is a unicorn score. If my $2000 camera gets a 4 star rating......and it is real close to a 5 star, so does this game. Don't listen to all the reviews on here. This game is actually amazing and I challenge you to try it with an open mind. Thanks for listening. Enjoy!
