What's great about it: Ice when you want it in quanity.
What's not so great: Breaks like clock work.
So I bought this for my new home, at 15 months it broke! The computer board had died so $500 later it worked great and I bought the extended 1 year warranty. So 13 months later the computer board dies again. Now I'm told it will be $800. Anyway I love having an ice maker but I will buy a different brand for my replacement. I'm sorry but for this price I believe quality should be delivered and the product should last longer than 1 year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This icemaker is great! I had this same icemaker in my other house and had to get one for my current home. It is quiet and makes plenty of ice.
I would recommend this to a friend!
