What's great about it: Can listen to multiple songs instead of listening to a cd.
What's not so great: It's not as easy to put in and take out. I have to work at it awhile.
I picked up my ipod cd player because I needed something to listen to instead of listening to my cd's that I had to make. I wanted to use the ipod for myself but also for my mom as seeing I put songs on my ipod. The music comes through the speakers clear and crisp. Of course, I didn't realize that my system doesn't have a clock on it which is what I was originally looking for. But, that was my mistake. I'm actually happy with my system. Every now and then I'll have a hard time taking out or putting in the system because where I work, I'm afraid it might get stolen. But, overall, my mom and I just LOVE the ipod system and I use it EVERY day. Getting the ipod system was the right choice to make.

What's not so great: you have to put it in the dock an exact way
the best part about this radio is that it has a USB port so if you have an i pod you dont even have to buy an AUX chord.

I have tried repeatedly to get some help/advice on this product. The AM performance is limited, and the AM reception is non-existent.

In my honest opnion, this headunit SUCKS! DO NOT waste your time or money on it. the sound qualitly SUCKS, all of the features are not there. There is no subwoofer control. That was the ONLY reason i bought this. I use to think kenwood was a good company and had the highest respect for them. But after i bought this, ALL respect is GONE. If you want my opionion, DO NOT BUY

What's great about it: Great value, ability to play music off a USB stick

Getting ready for a summer on the road, I realized it was time to replace my aging CD player in my truck which lacked iPod connections, the ability to play MP3's or to have a USB stick inserted. So I went to Best Buy and purchased this stereo - the least expensive one they had.
I must say, the price/value ratio for the system is excellent. In addition to being able to hook up your iPod to it (thus avoiding all the cables of using an FM solution for the iPod), the ability to play music off a USB card is absolutely wonderful. I bought a tiny 16GB USB card, plugged it into the stereo, and now play all my music off this one little card. Sure beats dragging around an iPod everywhere - let alone a box of CD's as I had before.
The controls of the system are simple and intuitive. A few minutes pressing this and touching that will allow anyone to figure out how to use it without even reading the manual.
The only "negative" feature for more was the color. I'm not a fan of red so I wish this unit had blue backlighting instead of red. But oh well, can't have everything in life!

I paid $80 for the radio. The sound is very good for the price. Solid bass. The ipod sync is the only thing that can be a little buggy at times but it's nothing I can't work around. They were smart enough to give us the 1/8" input so we can use that rather than surrender control of our playlist to their somewhat cumbersome menu. 20 years ago and $80 radio was worthless. For someone who wants to liven up their 89 Accord without breaking the bank, this is a great option.

What's great about it: we are able to 'dismount' the stereo and take it with us anywhere
Ever since I purchased this car stereo system for my husband, he loves it and so does our little boy; the fact that it has a remote control gives our little boy an easy way of changing from one song to another without getting off his booster seat, especially when we are on the road. I think this is a great feature.

I have only had this for a month but it was super easy to install and it sounds great. Really no problems whatsoever and what can you say for a $70 cd player that just works great. USB works, aux works great, cd, lots of choices for radio station settings. If you just need a CD player that works great and has a couple bells and whisles then this is great and can't beat the price. Just throw another one in if this one breaks in 5 years or so.

I purchased this radio with the intentions of using it with a subwoofer and amp. I was told and additionally on the box, that there were sub controls within the radio. The manual showed where they were supposed to be and they were not there. So ultimately if you are intending on using this with a subwoofer, don't waste your time.

Installation and setup for this cd player went smoothly without any hiccups. The usb connector works great with my wife's ipod and she is extremely happy with the performance and ease of use. Lots of radio presets are another great feature as well.

I bought this stereo as a gift for my wife. The sound is fantastic and the controls are easy to master. It was a good value for the price, but it would have been even better if it had been equipped with an HD Radio tuner. That's something that I think should be automatic these days without paying a fortune to have. Installation was pretty easy, but the wires need to be more clearly marked. That's really the only thing I can say negative about it, and that wasn't a serious problem. I would recommend this stereo in a heart beat.

HMMM, I bought this based on reputation alone... it seems Best Buy doesn't hook up the stereos anymore so you can compare the sound quality. The clerks just said " they all sound the same anyway. I'm right over there if you have any questions "... I'M NOT KIDDING LOL !!! So my question is, if they ALL SOUND THE SAME, why are the prices NOT THE SAME ??? LMAO !! SERIOUSLY Best Buy, you charge more than a dept store I go to frequently and they even have all the stereos hooked up so you can compare.
So we put the Kenwood stereo in my sons car after X Mas, it sounds good and has alot of features he'll use... Ipod hook up etc. but for a hi quality stereo, I'd shop where I can compare

I bought this Kenwood primarily to be able to play my ipod in my car. I didn't need any bells and whistles, so I went for one of the least expensive stereos. I now wish I had spent a little more money, since this Kenwood is just okay. Sometimes it has difficulty "reading" my ipod and won't connect. The display is difficult to read. I wish I could control my ipod through my ipod, but you have to use the stereo, which is not easy to do. Overall, it does the job, but it is definitely at the low end of the stereo spectrum.
