Economical way to get into Golf GPS

What's great about it: Incredible layouts and touch screen
What's not so great: Battery consumption
I tried this Sonocaddie APP on my new Samsung Charge (droid) and it is incredible - especially with my big droid screen, the layouts are just great.. Accuracy is as good as my friends units and right on with the course markers. I discovered once I have the courses downloaded I don't need phone service to use it because the droid uses satellites like regular golf gps units. I like the feature where you can touch any point on the layout and see your distance to it and the distance remaining to the green.
I got my 5 favorite courses downloaded included and now I need to decide if I want to continue using the app, or to go buy one of the Sonocaddie or other hand held units. Leaning to Sonocaddie because I like the layouts they use.
The only negative is that I need to start a round with a fully charged droid or I fear the batteries dying. The GPS in the droid uses lots of battery power and according to reviews the real hand held GPS units can go a couple of rounds between charges.
For any one out there who isn't sure they'll like or use a golf GPS, try this, you'll like it. I am totally hooked on GPS now!
I would recommend this to a friend!
