I have this amplifier running at 2 ohms with gains set on the power at slightly below 3/4 and the bass boost at 1/4. I am running one 15" Audiopipe TXX Competion series dual 4 ohm voicecoils. I have an Optima yellow top gel cell battery and a Fierce audio 1 farad digital readout capacitor. I have polk audio components in the front stage and Polk audio 6x9's in the rear deck of my pontiac G6. The mids and highs are powered by a polk audio 4 channel amplifier pushing around 100 watts rms per channel. My mids and highs are crystal clear and the kicker Absoloutely slams the subwoofer. The subwoofer box is ported and tuned at 38 hrtz and I registered a 153.5 spl on a termlab spl meter. The Kicker DX 1000 easily outperforms its counterparts triple its price. It is a amazing unit. I would urge anyone to not think twice about this product. 10 stars if I could rate it that high.

Awesome amp, Kicker truly delivered with the dx series having a small frame and a class d style to operate at cooler temperatures. A must have for any subs pushing high rms levels!

What's great about it: Compact, Powerful, Takes abuse very well, bass knob, sleek look, clean sound
What's not so great: Nothing!
Well, i dont understand why people would dislike somebody's review cuz they really liked the amp and chose kicker. big deal? this isnt about oh your not cool if you dont get rockford, or JL or alpine, etc. Anyways, came to say, i been using the Alpine MRP 500. that slaps, but my CVR's were barely moving and i decided to upgrade, stock everything, no capacitor, no extra battery, works fine. Yeah dims the lights a bit but at a certain volume. just have 4 gauge ground and power wires with a 100A fuse on the power wire. And wow, i was blown away. cant even use my rear view mirror. this amp is small and i love that, hasnt really got hot at all. never turned down with constant abuse, sitting in construction traffic for about an hour. Either way, for being the entry level of Kicker amps, deffinately worthy of buying. At first i was like eh about kicker, but they are deff a tough brand. I like kicker, you can hate if you want. but hey , it satisfies me and i garuntee it will to you. all my friends love my car and i told em about my new kicker amp and they are all super stoked to hear it. thanks Best Buy! =]

What's great about it: Love the bass control accessible on my dash.
What's not so great: Nothing.
Glad I went with this brand and an amp with this much wattage.
