this is the secondunit i have had in eight months but best buy swaped it out i think it is to big for the mustang and sub in my trunk

What's great about it: It was in stock at Best Buy for immediate gratification purposes
What's not so great: It shuts off if I listen too loud for too long
I purchased one of these when my MTX 75x4 shot craps a month or so ago. It sounds good and works well when pushing 6.5" components up front and a 12" ported sub in back. BUT the only complaint is that after 35-40 minutes of listening to it loud, it will overheat and shut off. My MTX drive the same speakers and never, never, never, NEVER overheated. Kicker would do themselves well to put an internal cooling fan in this thing. It gets hot enough to fry an egg on and that alone means this thing won't last very long. I have had a lot of nice car audio gear over the years and have always installed myself. I have had numerous different types of amps: Eclipse, MTX, Alpine, etc. This is one of the only ones I have ever managed to shut down due to heat. Oh an FWIW, the gain is at 12 o'clock for the sub and 10:30 for the components, so I am not an idiot trying to drive things too hard. I am tempted to try out that Polk Audio amp that is on sale for $179.99 just to see if I can have something that does the same thing for less.

What's great about it: Easy, Good Look, Sounds Good
What's not so great: It shuts off when hot, but its done on purpose to protect the amp
My only complain is the autoprotect shutoff. It gets to hot but in my situation i do need more air flow. If you buy just make sure to install where it will stay cool.
