What's great about it: Fast 4G Internet
What's not so great: Sometimes takes a while to get connected
This modem has been pretty good. It gives you fast internet on a desktop. Sometimes it takes more than one try to get connected. But once you are connected it usually stays connected. I would recommend it to a friend.

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Unit quit after less than a month
This unit worked for less than a month. I took it with me on vacation only to find out it was not working.
Wen't to the local Verizon Store and he was no help at all.
Will try to cancel contract when I return and go back to using Cricket.
That unit worked for 2 years with no problems

What's great about it: Works great --- external antenna ports, if needed.
What's not so great: Concerned over the moving parts, but no problems so far.
I use this unit as my home internet access. It's Verizon, or dialup! This device lives plugged into a Cradlepoint MBR-1000 router in my home. Since the local tower went to 4G, I'm seeing download speeds in excess of 10Meg. I'm quite happy with this unit, works flawlessly --- set and forget!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: If I can get a sims card.. I sure hope it works
What's not so great: Missing sims card... Due to store...
OMG...
I went to the store and bought a brand new laptop... and this USB modem...
Get home and can't use the darn thing because its missing the sims card......
UNBELIEVABLE..
Can't blame the the devise...
In the store I expressed the need for this laptop to be up and running for work at 8am...........

was talked into this by an employee who said it would speed up my laptop even though it is already fast as I mostly just check my email. Had to go back to the store because after installing, I couldn't connect to internet at all. They had to install some sort of program for it to work. This thing doesn't let me connect on the first try and kicks me off for no reason. Plus, my laptop is not any faster.I never had problems with my laptop til I started using this thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This modem will discomnect after about 10 minutes. Search google to find out more. Firmware update is needed. Sad to see Verizon and pantech has not addesses this.

Fast speed when in LTE area

What's great about it: High speed in LTE (7.0mps+)and 3G (2.0mps+)
What's not so great: Disconnect issues while moving/marginal LTE area.
This usb modem is very impressive in a LTE area and has great speed when in 3G (EDVO) but beware if you are in an area that sort of has both. This modem with its current version of drivers does not handle the switching well between LTE and 3G. It continually disconnects when it is in a marginal LTE signal area and switches to 3G. In order to get an acceptable connect experience you will need to force it to 3G only (contact Verizon for instructions) when you are in a suspect area or while you are moving in a vehicle that goes in and out of a LTE area.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I heard verizon customer support was bad. It was worst than bad they tell you what you want to hear. then tell you its your computer thats bad not their service This didnt work at all drops alot and download speeds arent better then dial up.Best buy sold this as 4 g but there is no 4g in this area and 3g sucks. This unit is so bad you need an a anteanna but guess what there is no anteanna made for this unit. not by verizon or pantech. Even radio shack told me that verizon is way behind. they recommended t mobile or sprint in this area.I am returning this tomorrow.There has got to be something better..
