What's great about it: Effective and easy to use encryption
Nice flash drive and the encryption feature had clear instructions that made it easy to set up, and it seems to work very well. I like the fact that if someone tries to guess the password they only get 10 tries after which the data is scrambled and unrecoverable. Obviously you want to use a strong password that you can remember (at least with 10 tries). Great for storing sensitive information like logins/passwords, financial info, etc. and there's no need to worry if you lose the drive somewhere. I had tried a model from another well known company (who shall go nameless) but its instructions were sparse and I couldn't get the encryption to work. The Kensington drive was a breeze to use by comparison.
This product has... Reliable, Attractive design/portable, Large capacity/good size, good capacity for the price

And if you still want security but at a faster transfer rate that got something a little bit smaller with same system in the 4 GB range. It has faster transfer speeds than the 8 GB and it also has the same control panel. So if you plan on wanting something just for passwords and plan on storing passwords on text files.. or documents.. the 4 GB is perfect but if you want to transfer videos and top secret projects the 8 GB is great!

This flash drive does tend to load up slow on windows XP systems but I found out that it runs faster when you plug it up to a small cheap USB hub or a USB extension cord that you can find at the dollar tree.
Also don't forget if you are running windows 7 or vista.. if you insert the flash drive a lot than it may sometimes not want to load up. I have found that rebooting the computer or logging out and than back in should clear up the delay.
I would like to also say if you are having issues with loading this flash drive up you can also try to buy a super cheap tablet that has a USB connection on the side for around 30 to 50 bucks and what they will do is allow you to always have access to your USB on the Go and without the need to use the internet.

I do not trust the internet or any service when it comes to storing super secure data. So I would recommend this flash drive to anyone! And they so cheap! I feel like buying 10 more of these things! Compared to all the other ones.. this flash drive has the best price and the price features and is more affordable that other USBs and the reason why that Kingston can do that is because they have stood strong for many years and have done real well in their history and so they are able to provide the best technology at the best price!

What's great about it: Small, easy to setup, good price for the space allotted, convenient , secure
What's not so great: Being so small & lightweight makes it easy to forget you have it on your person! Not a big deal though.
I've tried a few other "secure" flash drives with a bit of disappointment but this one met my expectations. I'ts small and can fit pretty much anywhere which makes it perfect for my travels. I really like the swivel closure, I am known for losing caps and do not care for flash drives with no cover. What I liked the most is that I do not have to install software on every pc that I plug into. If a friend wants to share photos of out trip with me, they shouldn't have to allow me to install software on their laptop! So that was a winning feature for me. Other thank that, on a girly note I'd like more color options...pink perhaps!

What's great about it: Easy to use, affordable and has excellent secuirity protection.
What's not so great: It's so light that sometimes you forget you even having it, making it easier to forget and leave it behind.
I have had this product for about 2 months and have used it continuously since the day I opened it. As a college student, I need to have access to all of my files and data, which I now have thanks to this flasd drive. I carry it with me everywhere I go, it's like it's connected to my hip. It's great being able to have immediate access to all my files without the hassle of lugging around my desktop(lol) everywhere I go. I also like that the drive is encrypted with a personal password, which provides me a great deal of comfort knowing that my files can't be altered, stolen or deleted. I have also found out that it is very durable and well made as I have dropped it a few times and it has not given me any trouble. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an affordable, encrypted flash drive with plenty of memory for any and all of your needs. We like this product so much that we are buying a second one for my wife.

I'm always nervous when I take any data away from my home computer. It's much more likely that I will lose any item that leaves my home due to theft or unintentional loss. When I've taken a USB drive containing sensitive, confidential information with me in the past, I've guarded it with my life and felt nervous about its whereabouts at all times. But no more! The password-protected Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ USB drive eliminates this worry. I now know that, even if it is lost, I need not worry because my confidential files and sensitive data will be safe and unavailable to others.
Also, I absolutely LOVE the flip cap, especially after tossing some drives in the past because I lost the pop on-off cap. What a waste of money that has been!
Note: I've only begun using the Kingston DataTraveler Locker+ USB drive this week, so my comments are based on first impressions. However, I'll return in a couple of weeks and update my review after I've used it more extensively.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: great price,easy to use, large capacity, sleek design
this is a great product for the price. I wouldn't of thought of a password protected USB but when my 12 year old daughter sared losing hers it came in pretty handy this school year. The thought of someone else haveing your personal property and dong whatever withit heart wrenching. The capacity of this product is well above others for the price and it so easy to use, my 12 yr.old uses it for school!

What's great about it: Extremely secure.
What's not so great: Would like to try larger sizes.
I have put my 8GB through its paces, and it lives up to my expectations. There aren't many times you may think you need the security provided, but it is much better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. I have tried other "secure" thumb drives, and the security was lackluster, at best. This is a great drive to toss those important documents on before your computer gets repaired or replaced, or to keep while traveling.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This device is easy to use, Mac friendly, and safe. None of the Kingston data products have ever failed me. If you have important docs, you need a safe and cheap way to backup. I would encourage people to give this device a shot.
