I kept running out of space on my smaller drive. This has 16 GB which is plenty and the product was simple to use. Would have been nice if it came with a strap to carry it. I had to attach my own strap but still would recommend it.

What's great about it: Everything
I have had problems with USB's before with "Bonus features" but this one is straight forward with no hidden speed bumps, I am currently using this for my Xbox 360 to expand had drive space and it works Great! Love it and know everyone else will too for any Tech savvy needs!

What's great about it: very fast and super cheap for the amount of storage space you get
What's not so great: not the prettiest thing to look at...however for the price and amount it stores its worth it
very helpful and versatile. I work and go to school fulltime and do a couple of assignments while on my lunch hour etc...this little drive allows me to simply save any documents I work on and transfer them to my labtop or school PC.
Its a great value for the amount of storage capacity it has.

Easy to use, tons of storage space - includes cloud space, stylish looking (it is! : ) Just keep it on a keyring so you don't lose it. And for me, the best selling feature was the great price. It took a lot longer to receive than most items I buy at Best Buy.com, but worth the wait for the value for the amount of drive space you get.

Save Your Money, Piece of Junk!

What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Corrupts the files that you save on it, Swivel cover design not very protective, Causes your entire computer to freeze
This flash drive worked for about a month and then slowly more and more files on it started becoming corrupt. It would cause my entire system to stall. I contacted Kingston and they just said to ship it back to them and they'd replace it which sounds great. But, because it was past three months, shipping costs were up to me to pay. These can get pricey, at least in relationship to what I paid for the drive, if you want to be able to track your shipment and get a return receipt to make sure they got it. Their warranty is for five years, but apparently, it's only three months as far as them paying to have their defective items shipped back to them.
They never bothered to try and troubleshoot why this problem was happening, which leads me to believe they know it's a common problem. I did nothing wrong on my end, tho, such as pulling it out of the USB port while it was still working, copying corrupt files onto it, etc., but it would have been nice if they would have asked and tried to go thru ways to fix the problem. I had only owned this for four months so I sent them an email asking why they only covered shipping for three months, etc. They sent a snarky letter back saying they'd make a one time exception and send me a label, but that "the warranty clearly states three months!" I talked to more than one rep on the phone, some were okay, but most showed disinterest or were plain ignorant.
Unfortunately, because I cannot even access the files to delete them (they're all corrupt) and formatting the drive comes up an error, also, I can't even send the thing back to them. I have since purchased a SanDisk Cruzer to replace this one and have had no problems with it. If you want a flash drive that will corrupt your files from a company that doesn't seem very interested in helping you, buy the Kingston. If not, buy SanDisk or another brand. Apparently, you do get what you pay for. Also, I was never real fond of the swivel cover on this...not very protective at all...and all the extra usless features it came loaded with. I just wanted back up storage for files, pics and music. But, since it was cheap, I bought it. Big mistake.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The thing I didn't care for at all was all of the icons and extra stuff that came on the flash drive to promote Kingston and it kept loading onto my computers. Very big pain.

What's great about it: Comes with awesome software, looks nice and works wonderfully.
What's not so great: Advertises as storing 16GB but only stores 14.8GB.
This is a wonderful flash drive. I especially love the UrDrive software that comes pre-installed on the device. It allows you to play music, games, and look through photos directly on any computer you plug it in to. As for cosmetic appeal, the flash drive is very sleek looking. The head on the top of the flash drive changes color in different shades of light.
I know there has been some criticism over the swivel cover for the flash drive, but on mine it is tight and holds its place perfectly.
The only negative to the Kingston DT101 G2 is that it advertises as 16GB but is only 14.8GB. Other than that set-back, this drive gets 2 thumbs up.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The 16GB Kingston DataTraveler was reasonably priced, was easy to use, and provides me with plenty of space to back up some very important files. The only thing I don't like is the flip top over the business end of the drive, which does not protect the drive from dust or other tiny debris getting inside.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased two hp 8G drives, one was 8G and the other was 2G and only fat32. Not happy. The Kingston is 16G and either fat32 or ntsf.
It works well and plan on purchasing 32 or 64, definitely a Kingston.

I got this for my boyfriend..it has lots of room for his games and pictures. I haven't heard him complaining about it, he loves it!! there is a TON of space and we got it on special so it was very cheap for the amount of space.

The cost of this flash drive is excellent. You can't find a 16 GB for just over $20. I also like the fact its a little smaller than most thumb drives. So if you can wait a few days on the mail, you'll get much more for your money. I plugged it in and after it installed the drivers, I have be rolling since. Get it, its well worth it.
