What's great about it: Ease of Cleaning
What's not so great: Doesn't slice raw meat well.
This product may be good for slicing vegetables, cheeses, and other hard items, but it rarely produces a good slice of raw meat. Perhaps a partially frozen piece of meat would work well, but thawed out raw meat gets partially sliced, then pulled down into the machine instead of being cleanly sliced. The sliced portion is often left attached to the unsliced portion, causing the person using the machine to have to stop the machine, fix the mess it has made, and continue in hopes of getting a decent result. Don't buy this slicer unless you will use it for harder items only.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
