What's great about it: The music, the lyrics, the vocals, the BAND!!!!!
What's not so great: Nothing. Everything is beautiful on this album.
BELLA MORTE is absolutely divine. That's it in a nutshell, but I will continue. There is so much talent and art and beauty in this band and this CD, PLEASE go out and buy it ASAP!!!!!! You will NOT regret it. I can't think of a better way to spend your money, unless it's buying a ticket to one of their shows (which, sadly, I have yet to do... COME TO TULSA, BELLA MORTE). Most beautiful of deaths indeed, they have captured the essence of hopelessly, poetically romantic goth music - one of the few bands who are able to do that anymore. The point is: THEY FREAKING ROCK!!!!!

Bella Morte has constantly changed their sound with every album they’ve created, and why shouldn’t they? Isn’t that what being an artist is all about? The album Beautiful Death stands true to the constant transformation of Bella Morte. It feels that Bella Morte have figured out what works and what doesn’t work for them and have used this knowledge towards their advantage in creating Beautiful Death. Beautiful Death takes elements from past albums that have worked so well and combines them with new ones that make Beautiful Death truly stand out from the rest. Catchy guitar riffs and sing-a-longablity elements from albums such as As the Reasons Die, Where Shadows Lie, and Bleed the Sky Grey can be heard on Find Forever Gone, Can’t Let This Die and Black Seas Collide. Ending Beautiful Death with Nine Hours, an instrumental track, brings back memories from very early albums such as Remains, and The Quiet. Music goers and fans old or new will not be disappointed with this album. Beautiful Death is an amazing album to add to your music collection.

What's great about it: Great musics, bonus video
Beautiful Death, Bella Morte’s 7th studio album, can only be described as the ultimate culmination of the band’s lengthy career. Consisting of 11 tracks for a total of just under 40 minutes, the album takes the listener on a whirlwind of emotion, combining haunting melodies and driving beats with singer Andy Deane’s tremendous vocals. Songs such as “Burn the Sky” and “In the Dirt” showcase his range, and the keyboards in “Buried Within” bring to mind Micah’s riffs from Where Shadows Lie. If something as short as 39 minutes can be described as Epic, then Beautiful Death is truly that. I look forward to hearing what the boys from C’ville have in store for us in the future!,

as california's biggest Bella Morte fan (yup....it's me), i was on pins and needles anticipating the new album's release. i was fortunate enough to have Andy (lead singer of BM) let me listen to a few tracks off his iPod during their last tour. i was thrilled to be able to hear snippets, but still knew i couldn't truly *take in* the album until i had my own copy. well, that day has come and gone; i've probably listened to it about a dozen times or so - i really wanted to experience the album....numerous times. having done so, i can now competently render my verdict: it's hauntingly epic! i was/am terribly pleased with how the new record turned out - surpassing even my own expectations. Andy's own descriptions of it were: the band's desire for (total) cohesion, as well as the (full) use of Andy's range as a singer. i believe they have accomplished this, and then some. aesthetically, it's a wonderous combination of the darkness of The Quiet and the raw, live-intensity of Bleed The Grey Sky Black. while i was initially quizical as to the length of every song (around 3:30/ea), i've come to realize that none need be longer, and it only adds to the albums cohesion. while i knew right away that the adjective "epic" was fitting for the new album, i still felt it lacked something (the characterization, not the record); then today it hit me: "haunting." to me, hauntingly epic is the perfect description of Beautiful Death. in addition, i feel this album could be considered the new quintessential epoch for contemporary gothic music. i've always been an enormous fan of the use of keyboards in (gothic) music, and for that element to be brought more to the forefront was tremendously fulfilling for me. -- Bella Morte is one of the best bands out today, and my personal favorite. Beautiful Death is a monumental triumph for the band, and should be regarded by all as such. if you're a fan of gothic music, or just plain *rock*, do yourself a favor: get to an appropriate website and purchase this album. it will no doubt enhance any music lover's collection.

What's great about it: Music, Vocals, Lyrics, Originality, Everything!
What's not so great: Nothing
Bella Morte has experimented with numerous sounds from their first album to their last, and their new album, "Beautiful Death", blends all of those ecclectic tendencies into one cohesive masterpeice. If you want to listen to music that is a bit heavy and gothy, not uniform to all of the other bands out there, and that has listenable and stunning lyrics, vocals, and music, then you are going to love this album. "Beautiful Death" stays true to it's title, and the title of the band. Each song to me seems to be a representation of death in one form or another and yet sounds so, well, beautiful.
"Find Forever Gone", "Can't Let This Die" (one of my personal favorites), and "Eternal" are atmospheric and triumphantly doomed anthems that you will be singing along with (and secretly pumping your fists to while you're at it). "Black Seas Collide" is a rather catchy tune with a blasting break in the middle intertwined with gorgeous, dark melodies. As with many of the songs on the album, I was having "Where Shadows Lie" (a previous BM album that is a must have as well) flashbacks which is a very good thing since that was my favorite album of theirs until now. I especially heard that old familiar vibe in "Buried Within", and yet the song contains a modern Bella Morte sound as does this entire album. The boys slow it down with "The End Of The End" and "Fades Like A Song", both of which are exquisitely rich, layered, and mysterious. Another favorite of mine is "In The Dirt" that has an instense, synth driven sound with amazing vocals and unique breaks that flow together perfectly.
"One Thousand Days" is yet another example of kickass guitar playing that is exhibited throughout the album. "Burn The Sky" is another favorite, just a great song throughout and I'm sure Eddie is a big fan of it as well ;). "Nine Hours" is the final track on the album and takes you on a funeral procession that leads out of this beautiful experience and makes you long for more. I found myself replaying the album repeatedly and finding new reasons to fall in love with Bella Morte's music all over again.
I highly recommend this album to anyone that is either an old fan of their work or a new one. Even if you have never listened to them before, trust me, you don't want to miss out on this unique musical experience.

I instantly emailed Mr. Andy Deane once I heard this cd, telling him how much I love the new cd. I was very pleased when I heard Andy’s lovely voice and Micah’s genius synths and keys. I really like how they’ve incorporated a bit of the old sound in this cd... it makes me think of a mish-mosh of Shadows, and Reasons with a twist of Grey Sky. This is a band that is constantly growing and changing, but manages to always please both new and old fans. Beautiful Death is the newest, awesome chapter in the Bella Morte story. If you haven’t gotten it yet I HIGHLY recommend you do. And if you don’t know who I am talking about… What’s wrong with you?!?!

What's not so great: none
This is by far the best Bella Morte album so far. This album really shows the dark side of Bella Morte. If you are already a fan, then you must buy yhtis album. If you are not, then this is the perfect opportunity to get to know a great band.
