What's great about it: Great Features
What's not so great: Short Life Span!
Pros: When I recieved mine I was satisfied with the features, the screen was nice HD from the start. altough it had a high pictch ringing noise when the screen was lit up. It has 8 Cons. keep in mind a stylus is compatable, The menu was great and all the features were awsome for 2 Months.
Other Thoughts: I like to build playlists and use them later, this device won't accept any playlist files that exist, and the playlist it allows you to build erases after turning off the device, whether you slide the switch up or down, the only way to keep a playlist is to fill it up with 150 songs (are you really going to do all that in one day)?
I enjoyed this for 2 Months before the calibration died, my way around recalibrating was to reset the settings and no longer attemp calibrating but then it would miss interpret the buttons I ment to push.
Flaws: Gets Really Hot!
High Humming noise
No Playlist
Calibration is defected
Speaker Sucks
Does not read MP4 nor WMV, Only AVI and FLV
Battery will not fully charge
HDMI Playback is choppy and pixellated

What's not so great: does not deliver on what it promises.
I got my Trio T4300 in May 2011 for $90. The box said it could read WMA and WMV files and came loaded with software to help convert and capture media to put on the player. The first thing I discovered when I opened the box and read the instructions is that it can only play WMA's that are created with windows meadia player v10 or higher. So unless I want to somehow convert my entire music library that is in v9, I won't be hearing those songs on this player. Next I noticed the box says it plays HD videos. It even has an HDMI out jack. Cool! I thought. I then downloaded a 720p video to the player and it could not read it. I had to resample it to a 480 resolution so it could play. Then I noticed that as the video played, the sound got out of sync with the video. Even some of the demo videos that came with the player had sound out of sync with the video. Perhaps I have a lemon? I suspect it might have something to do with whether the video was rendered in 30 fps or 29.97 fps. If that is the case, how hard is it to write the software to handle multiple framerates. Next, I installed the "free" software that came with the player which is for converting/capturing media. It turns out to be a demo version. It will only convert the first 90 seconds of music to mp3. You have to buy the full blown version to unlock the full capability. That is very misleading and annoying. The touch screen was a bit temperamental. I often had difficulty sliding my finger to scroll through the playlist without it selecting the first place I touched on the screen. I applaud the maker for trying to make an affordable player that does everything. Unfortunately, there are significant limitations on what it promises. I don't know about you but $90 is a lot of money to spend on something that cantankerous. Perhaps it is bet to bite the bullet and save up for an i touch or i pad. I will be returning my Trio T4300.
