What's great about it: Scan & Print Speeds Wireless
What's not so great: Nothing
I had an HP 1000 laser printer for years but recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and that printer was not compatible. Bought this one based on reviews. Great print speed. Excellent scanning speed. Holds plenty of paper. Toner cartridges for it are relatively inexpensive compared to ink cartridges. Can use wireless also which is a big plus. I absolutely am 100% pleased with this printer and would highly recommend it.

What's great about it: Works with Microsoft Windows
What's not so great: Does not work with UBUNTU
Works great in Windows, Does not perform at all with Ubuntu-Lucid Lynx 10.04. I wished I had not bought this printer. If you run with Linux get an HP.

What's great about it: easy setup
What's not so great: short toner life
Printer is sufficient enough for my use. The only problem is the toner, TN420 does not even print half the copies it advertises it can do.

What's great about it: Cost, setup time & serves its purpose
What's not so great: Too lightweight for any real heavy-duty printing
Needed a basic, light-duty printer/scanner/copier/fax for work. At this price I should have bought two!
Easy setup and up and running in no time. Scanning the document and emailing them off to vendors.

What's great about it: Fast and easy to use
What's not so great: Nothing so far
I was looking for a printer that could handle my coupon printing...and fast. This has done a fantastic job, it is fast and great quality. Works good for copying documents as well! Doubles as a fax machine, and easy to figure out.

What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: No negatives!
I purchased the Brother Laser Printer in early December 2011, when it was on sale for $100.00. Now that was a deal! The Brother printer is one of the finest Laser printers that I have experienced. It is easy to set-up, print quality is exceptional, print speed is exceptional, and the deep sleep is an energy saving plus! Great product!

What's great about it: The ability to scan pdf files to any of the office computers.
What's not so great: Nothing negative so far.
Bought this printer to enable scanning in my office. Works better than I expected. With the network feature, I located it in the front office to replace the fax machine where it's also convenient for everyone to pick up their print jobs. The scanning feature allows us to scan documents directly to any of the office PCs as either an image or pdf file. I love it.

What's great about it: Speed, quality
What's not so great: No color
Had it about a month now and I love it. Purchased toner on ebay for $33 for two. (Haven't used the ebay toner yet) But what comes with it works great. Use it for couponing and homeschooling. Very fast printing. Love the sleep mode when not in use.

What's great about it: Easy set-up and Dependable
What's not so great: Software could use more robust Help, not looking forward to consumables costs
This is my second Brother printer, and my first all-in-one. I had high hopes based on my HL-2040, and this MFC-7030 has not let me down. It's very fast, and really does everything I could possibly need in a printer.
Printing envelopes is a little cumbersome, however. I have to reach to the back, flip down an access panel, then flip down two green levers to be able to use the pass-through. Inconvenient.
It also makes an odd, gravelly, whiny sound when running. Deep sleep mode is pretty neat though. I leave the thing on all the time now.
Otherwise, very nice.

What's great about it: Everything, fast, clear, clean printing.
What's not so great: Nothing yet.
I print a lot of different things every day. I use it on a daily basis. Don't expect the toner that came with it to last, I think those are only about half full if not less. I already had to replace my toner that came with it but like I said, I think my printing is kind of heavy for home use. Which is why I bought it. It has kept up pretty good. I replaced an ink jet printer that was eating my $$$ away with all the ink it drank. I haven't had any problems with it. It was easy to set up.

What's great about it: multifunction
What's not so great: toner is not complety filled at time of purchase
the only thing that I recomend is that when you purchase this printer, you must purchase a toner refill becuase the toner that comes with the printer is only half filled.

What's great about it: Cost (on sale) speed and its dependable
This was bought for an older customer (70's) as her inkjet printer was costing to much and took longer to print.
It's B&W only and that is fine if she wants color pictures she goes to Sam's or Walgreens.
I love the Brother laser printers and have used them for 10 years.

WOW! What more could I ask for $129!!!! Prints are great, Scans Fast, Easy Set Up, Ethernet Shared Network, Durable but Sturdy. I shopped around and this is by far the best deal out there. Get one while it's on sale but it's even worth regular price of $200!!!!

What's great about it: Features, compatibility with Mac OSX and Windows boxes
What's not so great: A little noisy, but no major downsides
This printer hooked up easily to my network, although the Brother "control center" stuff was kind of cumbersome because you have to do it on every computer that is going to use all the features on the printer (scanning, fax, copying, printing).
That said, the installs went easily after an update from Brother's site and I have 4 Macs, one PC, and a couple laptops all using various features of the printer on the network with no drama. The scanning function works very well, the print quality is good (and pretty quick!)
