What's great about it: fast, quiet, and easy to use
What's not so great: price
being new to the mac world, it made installing things much easier ---you have to have a drive if you want to use your disks =)

What's great about it: Everything!
What's not so great: A little on the pricey side.
It is a little pricey, but since I own the Mac Mini, I wanted to stay within the Apple Family.

It works as it should and is sleek and attractive. I think it's slightly overpriced and probably should've been included with my Macbook Air.

What's great about it: Sleek, takes little space.
What's not so great: Nothing
This DVD reader/writer is perfect to go with the Mini. It's small and unobtrusive, can be set up to sit right next to the Mini and be unplugged when you happen to need the USB port it uses. It does what you need it to do.

Be careful what you are buying here! This external DVD drive is only good for the MacBook Air laptop and the MacMini desktop. It does NOT work with any other Apple Macintosh devices. It has a very high price for such a limited usefulness, in my opinion. Since I am an engineering design consultant, project primary investigator and small business owner, keeping up with my information and disseminating appropriate information about my business is critical to me. This piece of hardware was a cost liability and not an asset in my company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
