I got this monitor two weeks ago on sale, it was good at first; glossy screen makes colors more vivid and the size is pretty good for my desk. I've been using its hdmi port for pc gaming since then. however, while I was changing resolution within a game, the monitor turned itself off and, after turning it on, it says that there's no signal from hdmi port. I was quite scared since it is possible, though rare, that the hdmi output of my pc is burnt out, or my 80 bucks hdmi cable is dead. after several rounds of testing I've finally found out it is the monitor, it does not take any hdmi signal anymore. Went to bb and returned it right away. it is my first hp product, any probably will be the only one.

What's not so great: monitor goes to sleep while I'm actively doing something (rare), the button controls are not the greatest
I love the picture quality and design of the monitor. The only complaint I have is that the monitor will randomly go to sleep while I'm in the middle of doing something. This doesn't happen very often and is probably a result of something that I'm not getting right....but other than that, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

bought it based on size and price but ended up loving it for image and features. One of the first features I fell in love with may seem like a small one but it is the first monitor I have seen with this option and that is to turn off the annoying and often BRIGHT power on indicator.

The vibrant colors of images are enhanced by this monitor's glossy screen. I see definite improvement in contrast when placing this monitor next to another LCD monitor with a non-glossy, matte finish. I would not recommend purchasing this monitor if it will face bright lights or windows due to the possible glare. It is a great size for watching movies or videos. It's response rate is quick enough for any modern games that I have played (gamma and brightness are also easily adjusted). As an LED monitor, it also has a thin and sleek looking profile, minimizing the amount of desk space that it occupies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this to upgrade from the HP W2207 I've been using for 4 years, because it caught my eye in the same way as the old one did. Color is bright and vibrant, and the picture is crisp and clear, and very responsive.
The buttons are a little 'mushy' feeling and aren't the most responsive. Not a big deal, but I am using this with 2 computers, so switching the input setting is a bit of a pain. I haven't investigated to see if there's a way to bind a keyboard shortcut to make this simpler.

My only knocks on this monitor are from the design aspect...it could use a little more weight in the base to keep it from sliding around, and a pair of USB ports on the side to connect my keyboard/mouse to would be great additions.
Overall, great monitor and very few complaints...very happy with purchase

They didn't have in stock so i ordered at store and had shipped to home, nice feature. It was easy set up in about 10 min like the picture quality so sharp and clear. I have had this monitor for about 7 months and have no problems what so ever,this is my second hp monitor they are good and reliable. Next time i need to replace it will be an HP.

I am thoroughly impressed by the picture quality of this LED monitor. I switched from an HP 23" LCD and I must say that I am sold on LED, so much so that I will now purchase an LED TV (I recommend purchasing the extended warranty because my 23" HP died after only 14 months). The screen on this LED is bright, clear, and the HD function is super crisp! For a 25" monitor it doesn't take up much room at all - much thinner than my old LCD. As far as disappointments I have only 2 but they wouldn't stop me from purchasing this monitor again. # 1 is it has NO built in speakers like my 23" HP had. # 2 the function buttons - they are very hard to find because they don't protrude far enough from the bottom of the lower panel so it's hard to know which one is which. I purchased a $15 Logitech speaker system that sound excellent for the price, so the speaker problem is solved but I do miss the convenience of built-in speakers. Overall I am very happy with this monitor!

What's great about it: Amazing picture quality, gorgeous design, easy set-up.
Wow.
This monitor is beautiful. It's big and glossy, and just looks fantastic.
The picture is crisp, the colors are deep and rich, and the blacks are truly black (something you don't get too often with backlit displays).
No dead pixels, no ghosting. Playing Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3 on ultra settings and everything looks stunning.
Blu rays look truly fantastic.
The screen is glossy, so there is some glare and you may want to consider where you set up the lamps in your room so as to lessen reflections. Still, not enough to take off an egg, as the overall quality of the picture is so great.

Very bright, crisp color. i used this for my Macbook and xbox360. Two things though. Angle view is poor and no built in speaker. I have to run xbox audio using digital cable into my macbook. Watching a movie always kinda dark and reddish. The white balance and red balance is a bit off. Overall is a great monitor. for its price $229 at the store.

What's great about it: The sheer size is amazing, very thin, hard plastic assures quality construction, screens very bright and clear.
What's not so great: I'll probably have to drive back up to best buy over a stuck pixel :[
So far so good except.. there seems to be one stuck pixel at the lower right hand side that stays a bright green color. I didn't notice this until my all black screen saver came up. Hoping to return it on friday for a replacement if it doesn't correct itself.

I previously bought a 23" IPS LG monitor which i REALLY liked until i found out it had a back light bleeding issue, which apparently.. is a common problem with that model. I would have given this monitor 5 stars for features if it had more settings like the lg and the price was $50 lower.

I was looking for a low cost, high quality monitor 24"-25" inch with hdmi inputs for a second computer build. I wanted a Dell Ultra Sharp but couldn't justify the cost. I chose the HP due to price point and screen size and other reviews. The on screen colors are beautiful and there where no dead pixels. My only complaint and thus why I gave it four stars and not a five, is reflective glare. The monitor and the outside bezel are very shiny and in the room I'm using it in I get distracted by everything I see behind me especially on the bezel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was looking for an LED monitor to connect to my laptop. I am a Samsung fan. My TV's, Blu-ray player and surround sound are all Samsung. So I went to BestBuy with the intention of getting one and when I compared the Samsung models with this model, they were pretty much even except the price on the Samsungs where over $100 more! First off the size! It really makes you feel like you are much more immersed in the game. The color, clarity, contrast, etc are all really good out of the box. I did do a few little tweaks to it and in the end, I fell in love with it!
As far as the design of the monitor, it is a sleek black which is nice, it does have a little glare, but I guess that depends on where and how you position it. The buttons are on the underside of the monitor which I like because it gives it more of a sleek look to it. There is a power indicator light which can be turned off if you choose.
If you are looking for a LED monitor, then look no further. This is the one, I got it on sale at BestBuy for $229.99, original price was $299.99. I was easy to assemble. It comes with VGA and DVI cables. If you choose HDMI you do need to supply your own.
YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

This thing is huge! The colors are bright and true, the refresh rate is fast. My only "con" on this monitor is that it is a bit shiney and light reflections can cause glare.
