What's great about it: Large, stainless matches our other stainless appliances
What's not so great: The keypad is too gray/very difficult to see. It doesn't match the photo online nor the LG oven keypad
I bought this item to match the wall oven we just bought a couple of months ago. The photo of the microwave online made it look like it would match the keypad on the oven......but it really doesn't in actuality. The keypad on the microwave has more gray numbers/keys while the oven has white. It's very difficult to see the numbers. It also cheapens the look. Our microwave is stored on a shelf above the wall oven and it's difficult to see the numbers/keys. Just go to the store and compare the keypads among the microwaves and you'll see what I'm talking about.

What's great about it: Easy set up, easy to use, reasonable price
My 8 year old GE microwave just stopped working one day, so I had to purchase a new one. My husband did some research on the internet, and we decided on an LG. We selected this model over a "fancier" one with more features, and we have been completely satisfied. The controls are very intuitive (meaning I didn't have to study the manual to figure out how to use it!).

What's great about it: Pretty much everything you'd ever want in a microwave.
What's not so great: Nothing. It's PERFECT.
Purchased this microwave to replace our kitchen microwave that now rests in peace after many years of service. :) We have an LG plasma tv and LG cell phones, so I was biased to the brand already because we LOVE LG. And this microwave is no exception. The curved corners inside are amazing...SO easy to clean. No pesky corners to get to. And the features are great...very easy to operate, and super-powerful. My test for a microwave is how well it can pop a bag of popcorn, and this one left only about 5 kernels left unpopped before I had to stop it to avoid burning the bag. Well worth the price if you are comparing between models. Also, it's very well-lit so you can keep an eye on your food. LOVE this. LG remains my favorite brand.

I truly fell in love with this microwave. It pops my popcorn to the last kernel without burning like my last one did. I have much more room in the inside which was something I was looking for and the color blends right in with my other appliances. I would definitely recommend this product! I am a true fan of LG for life!

What's great about it: Works as expected
What's not so great: Nothing, so far
This large microwave easily handles large items. It has 30% more power than our old one that died after almost 20 years. We use the EZ ON feature (30 sec, full power) the most, but also timed cooking with reduced power levels for some items. We have not used the program features much since we have a good idea of what most dishes require. We simply reduce the time by 30% in view of the higher power. Popcorn is the exception, where we use the program often. The interior is very well contoured for easy cleaning. We've only had it a month or so, so we hope it lasts as well as the old one. The price was very reasonable.

a tid bit too large for our space

I was excited when I received the microwave. It was quite stylish in terms of electronics, with a large interior cabinet. unfortunately it was just a little to large for the shelf cutout we have in our office kitchen, so we had to return it. It was kinda heavy, but I toted it through the streets of Manhattan to a local best buy, who accepted it with no problem. i was interested in swapping it for a slightly smaller unit, but they didn't carry any in the store, so I ended up going with another manufacturer.

We have had the microwave for a little over a month now...It has been great. We have had to adjust to the higher wattage, but that just means our food is getting done quicker!

What's great about it: Never got that far.
What's not so great: Can't see what you're doing.
Bought this unit to replace a Panasonic damaged in a power surge. Found that the key pad and interior was too dark to make settings or watch the item cook without additional lighting. Couldn't just walk into the kitchen and reheat a drink without a flashlight. Returned the LG and bought a new Panasonic again.

We brought this microwave after thanksgiving. It heats up food fast very roomy too. Looks good .I also like to melt butter for baking , it works great so far. We did buy it because of the name. Lg appliances has all work good for us.

Overall, it does the job intended: it cooks well and is relatively quiet. Good features and functionality. The curved inner liner is very easy to clean. Pleasing aesthetics as well. Sadly, it was just a bit too large for our countertop so we returned it for a smaller model. I only wish LG's smaller 1.5 cubic foot microwave had the same overall look of this model instead of the cheap looking silver plastic.

What's great about it: looks good ... but looks are decieving
What's not so great: did not work but looked great!!
My over the oven microwave went out the day before Christmas ... went to BB and got the LG ... worked for a couple of days but had strange noise ... by New Years it was not heating and the outside of the box was extreamly hot to the touch... called service and was told to have it fixed and I would have to pack up and take to service dealer... no way ... took back to Best Buy ... No Problems with return... but I did not get the sale price on the next one I purchased ... NOT LG oh... almost forgot ... the vents on the unit never worked correctly.. steam was rolling out as the door opened even when it was working

What's great about it: Certainly not the quality control or the customer service.
We are on our second unit of this model in the same as many days. The first one was had a point-like dent in stainless on the door. There was no sign of damage to the box to indicate where it came from. The second one we have sitting here has the stainless on the door misaligned, a scratch in the glass and a scuff on the hinge side of the door. Shame on me for not opening it all the way up in the store (I did open it to feel for any dents, but didn't remove the thin foam wrap). Now I must say, the service at Best Buy was outstanding, it is the service from LG that is horrific.
I called and spoke to the LG customer service, explained my situation and asked if a replacement door could be sent versus going through the hassle again to package everything up and take it into the store. The rep gave me a long speech about how diagnostics would need to be done to determine who was at fault and whether it was a mfg defect or not. I explained to him exactly what the situation was and he said the only option for me is to take it back to the store. Not so much as a "hey, sorry for the inconvenience big guy". I explained how displeased I was with the experience and that if I have to package this thing back up again, this will be the last business LG has of ours. The response? "OK". End of conversation. I have had other LG products that worked fine, no customer service needed, but after finding out that a company will not lift 1/2 a finger to help you out, I would rather spend my money elsewhere. When we had an issue with our Samsung refrigerator, I read them our receipt and BAM, a service person at our door with a new control panel. LG could go to learn a thing or two from them. This unit will be returned as well tomorrow.

Got it for the office in September and was broken by November. Every time I close the door it automatically turns on for no reason. I open the door it turns off. Would take 3 weeks to have it sent away for repair. Quite frankly if I pay this much for a microwave I don't want it repaired, I want a new one. They can repair it on their own time. An office without a microwave for lunches for 3 weeks is a bad deal. Not getting another LG microwave any time soon.

What's great about it: The size and ease of use
What's not so great: It is noisy and doesn't have a beeper shut off.
Just purchased this one. Looked at it online, then went to view it in person. I liked how big the interior is, much larger than than the full sized over-the range one we had at the old house. I am happy as can be with it, except for the annoying beeping. The old one has a dimming/ off feature for the beep, which I miss, as this one beeps so loudly and doesn't stop until you manually stop it. After reading some of the reviews, all I can do is hope it lasts. I did buy the extended warranty, which helps ease my mind in case it does burnout in a short time period.

What's great about it: Easy to operate
What's not so great: Nags you to remove contents after they finish cooking.
This microwave has several features we really like. First, it has a dark interior that does not show splatter like all the white ones. Second, LG rounded the backside, which makes the microwave easier to clean and less prone to collect food particles. Third, the display informs the user how to operate a feature of the microwave whenever you press a button. Fourth, it seems sturdy with no cheap look or feel. The only minor annoyance involves a beeper that periodically reminds the user to remove the contents until it senses the door opened.
