What's great about it: Works just fine
What's not so great: Range
This is a good keyboard for the price. I don't know what is wrong, but I cannot use it past about 2 feet. So if you are going to use it at close range it will be fine, but if you buy it for the range of it don't believe that.

I like this but I wish I would have bought a wired set. I don't really need a wireless keyboard/mouse on with my desk top. But there is nothing wrong with the setup.

What's great about it: smooth keyboard, wireless, short-cut menus, easy to set-up.
What's not so great: the mouse is basic.
Keyboard is smooth, wireless and I really like the short-cut menus. I really didn't need the mouse but it works well. It also has a battery life censor so you know when the battery will die out.

What's great about it: OK keyboard
What's not so great: Nasty mouse
Keyboard was fine but wheel on mouse moved on it's own. Terrible when scrolling down on a page because it jumps around. I returned it for refund and got a Logitech that works great.

What's great about it: No wires to get strangled with
What's not so great: Mouse wheel seems cheap
I bought this a few months ago now, and so far it works great. There are only a few minor things that bug me, but haven't been by any means a deal breaker for recommending this product. 1. There is no way to shut off the keyboard. Hopefully it doesn't draw any power when not being used....not sure. 2. The scroll wheel on the mouse occasionally gets stuck in between clicks causing the screen to bounce up and down. Maybe I just have a faulty mouse?
The price was right, so having a caps lock light doesn't bother me, as I tend not to yell that much.

What's great about it: Easy to Use, Quick/Easy Set Up, Long Battery Life, Universal Compatability, Price
What's not so great: Nothing
This is by far one of the best buys I've made in a while. For what you get here, this is a steal. The keyboard is very comfortable to use, and the mouse is very smooth and precise. There's no reason to go buy a $100 combo when you can get this. The USB receiver is tiny and barely noticeable, and there are no miscommunications between receiver and mouse/keyboard. Installation comes down to literally putting in the batteries (which last forever), and plugging in the USB stick. A quick download of the drivers and you're set to go in under a minute. I believe this also works with Mac's which is another bonus.
Overall, there's really no better deal than this. Well done Microsoft.

What's great about it: The wireless aspect.
This keyboard is very easy to use. I try to remember to turn the mouse off when I am not using the computer but I forget frequently. It appears the mouse does not drain the battery quickly and this is good.

What's great about it: Linux compatible, works great, low cost
What's not so great: small Escape key
I was looking for a Linux compatible wireless keyboard and mouse combo and this one worked straight out of the box with no problems. I am running Ubuntu on a somewhat old Lenovo X300 laptop. It also works fine on Windows 7 (my laptop is dual boot). It is a nice small but comfortable keyboard and very good basic mouse. I'm doing technical writing, email, web browsing, and programming. My text editor is Emacs, and the only thing I was not entirely happy about is that the Escape key is a little small, and the keys are a little crowded. I gave it to my wife, who is 100% happy with it, and uses it with her Lenovo laptop, an SL500. I paid $40 for it, but from time to time these and others go on sale, so you can save some money by catching one at the right time. Even at $40 it is well worth the money. After giving it to my wife, I bought a Logitech MK520, which also works with Linux and has a bigger Escape key, but costs a lot more ($60). Take your pick.

What's great about it: Great range, nice and compact, silent keys
What's not so great: No caps/numbers lock indicator
This is a nice set! It’s a plug-and-play and I had it going from opening the box to typing within 15 minutes. There is no problem with the range; I’ve used it anywhere from as close to 3’ and as far as 10’ without a missed key when typing or lack of mouse response. I have the dongle plugged into a 3’ USB extension in the back of my desktop and lying on the floor. I sat on my recliner with the dongle about 4' away to my left, the mouse on my right on a lamp table so the signal had to pass thru the arm of the recliner, my entire body, the other recliner arm and then to the dongle – no problem at all.
The kb is a nice compact size yet still has the heft so it doesn't feell 'cheap', and the white bottom half gives it a handsome, not-quite-the-usual-old-keyboard look. The keys are quiet and have a good feel. The scrunching of the function keys will take a bit getting used to but it seems that’s the new trend in kb’s from all makers. One negative is the lack of any indications on caps/number locks – no lights on the kb and it doesn’t give a little pop-up indicator on the monitor.
The mouse is a basic 3 button and nothing special. The buttons are silent and responsive. The wheel rolls with small silent clicks and are adjustable from 1-100 lines. The wheel also has a left click function that allows it to freely scroll with rolling the wheel – I’m still figuring that out, as well as if it will do other things. The mouse works with only one batt in either side so that, along with being able to turn it off, could be a slight savings overall – depending on the true batt life.
It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles you might want or expect from a ‘deluxe’ keyboard but it doesn’t claim to be that. It’s just a plain, no-frills set that gets the job done – and in my opinion it does it quite well. If you’re looking for a good kb/mouse combo at a reasonable price – I found it for less than $20 - you can’t go wrong with this set.

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing
I had no problem using this with the latest Ubuntu Linux Release. This is probably due to good software and drivers provided by Microsoft, unlike other brands. Everything worked under Windows and Linux. Windows and Linux will automatically install the driver for you. A system restart is needed in Windows.

My keyboard and mouse went out on my netbook so I currently have my netbook connected to my LED LCD TV. I use the keyboard mouse combo while sitting on the sofa. Once I placed the batteries in, inserted the USB dongle, it connected in a flash. Real easy to use and ver responsive. I would definiitely recommend this keyboard/mouse combo.

What's great about it: Very quite keyboard and soft to the touch
This is a great buy for $39.99. I am sure there are better ones out there, but this is a fantastic purchase for that price for both a keyboard and a mouse. I connected them within minutes and had no trouble. I adjust the movement of the mouse just a little and both are working great!!! Very easy to install and very easy to use.
