What's great about it: smooth action
What's not so great: nothing
Works great for video as well as still cameras, smooth panning. The ability to easily go from vertical to horizontal is a plus. Holds tight in position also.

Do a fair amount of urbex photography and general outdoor work. MY previous tripod was starting to tilt due to my camera weighing too much. With this tripod the camera is much more stable and more reliable. All in all for the price bracket its good equipment.

What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: would like to have seen it handle my camera with extra batteries
This product is easy to use, but is not for camera's with the external battery mounted. This is a good tripod.

This is the Manfrotto 390 Series (MK394-H). Overall it seems very durable and haven't had any issues with it. The legs not only extend out 3 times but can also be pivioted from the normal 25 degree angle to 52 degrees. I use this tripod with my Canon 5D and seems to hold it very well. I've used the tripod a number of times and am very satisfied with it, and it comes with a great price. What's great about it: easy to set up, solid feel
What's not so great: can't hold wieght as advertised...
i bought this tripod because of it's solid construction and because of the brand as well... well, its a Manfrotto. It is fairly easy to use and easy to store and it is pretty compact and rugged... however, i find issues with the clamp, as it seems unable to hold my 7D with the battery grip and 24-70 mm lens when in the vertical orientation. I have weighed my set-up and it is less than the advertised weight limit of the tripod.
I have tried several times to do this but i end up catching the camera just in time before it shattered...

What's great about it: Sturdy, light and compact. Comes with carrying case.
What's not so great: Nothing right now.
This is my first tripod, I bought it along with my Nikon D5100. It is very easy to use. What I like most about it is it's compact and it comes with it's own carrying case. The next model above is taller and wider and it doesn't come with a carrying case. The head seems to be very sturdy. You can lock it in any position when taking stills, it works great for taking panoramas and capturing video. The legs can lock in two different angles to get lower or higher shots. And though it's not carbon fiber, it is very light and compact. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
