What's great about it: Nice large screen
What's not so great: Not sure if Navigation works effectively because I did not receive correct parts.
Bought this product on Jan 30th and was excited. I have installed many car systems in the past, so I immediately began to solder the wiring. Upon getting everything done, I just had to put it in. Everything hooked up well, except one thing. The GPS antenna.... The connector on the GPS antenna wire would not fit on the connector on the head unit. Still excited about the radio, so I drove my vehicle around a bit and then called JVC support. Gave them the above story. Lo and behold, they told me to uninstall and take everything back to Best Buy. I told them that that was unreasonable and could they just send me another antenna with the right fitting. They offered to sell me one. At that point, I was very unhappy. I called Best Buy and they were wonderful on the phone. I went to store and they were going to take an antenna out of another box. Problem. The wrong antenna was in that box. It was relayed to me that this has been a problem lately with this unit. I called JVC again while in the store. They took my information, told me that the information would be relayed to a manager, and that I would get a phone call. Three days later no phone call.
JVC has lost a customer. They have good products when they give you the right parts, but horrible customer service. Low scores, because I could not test some features.
I took the radio back today 02-04-2012. I think I will stick with Alpine and Kenwood.
Best Buy was very helpful, assisting, and respectful. Thanks to them.

Previously I used my 3G iPad as the GPS system, but this requires some monthly payments for the Internet connection and for the voice navigation. So, I decided to buy a car GPS system with the free life time use and free updates. First, I was looking for a portable GPS, because I never thought that in-Dash GPS could be installed in my 2000 Toyota Camry. When I found out about this from the Best Buy guys, I bought this KW-NT50HDT system and never regret about this.
The navigation system comes not only with the GPS system, but also with the DVD player (for video DVDs and audio/MP3 files), mic/bluetooth connection for the phone, USB port for the MP3 players/flash drives, free HD Radio broadcast, rear view camera option (the video camera is not included).
My wife like the feature that the system is warning me when I exceed the speed limit. For me the most impressive feature is the bluetooth operation for my phone. Though it says it is designed for use with Apple iPod and iPhone, it works fine with my Blackberry Torch 9800. I configured the system and my phone for automatic connection and auto answer, and now I do not need even to touch my phone to talk someone, who is calling me.
The GPS system works in the same way I used it in my iPad with the voice navigation. I watched one movie on the video DVD, when waiting for my wife at the shopping center (it works only when the manual break is engaged). The video is OK, when there is no a direct sun light.
I bought the Audiovox Vehicle Rearview Camera (SKU: 8840953) to use with this navigation system. Though there are some negative feedbacks on this camera, it works fine on my car. It was already under the rain. I think it depends on how and where it was installed. The Geek Squad guy did a really good job to install the whole system.
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Easy menus, Lifetime traffic, Free map updates

What's great about it: Ease of use, sound, features,
What's not so great: It doesn't have a remote like the previous model, but I don't need a remote...
I spent a lot of time researching the different navigation/stereo systems and read a ton of consumer reviews. I finally decided on this model, even though it was more expensive than what I had originally wanted to spend. I bought this at Best Buy and the guy that helped me was great! He went above and beyond the call of duty explaining all of the features on this model compared with the many others, including the JVC 30W x 4 MOSFET. It is now installed and I absolutely love it! It looks beautiful in the dash. It is easy to set up and use. The stereo sounds amazing, and I love the traffic information for the destination route you plug in to the Nav system (only available on the JVC 50W model). It is an awesome handsfree unit for my iphone. I haven't used all of the many features yet, but I am excited to explore its full potential. In my opinion, this is a great buy and I highly recommend it.

What's great about it: Naviagition/Feature
What's not so great: Adapters needed
This unit is the bang for the buck. Navigation is accurate to a "T" and feature are outstanding. Although there are somethings not included that you will have to purchase that the Geek Squad insallers didn't mention to me when I drove off.
1. You will need a $160 adapter to connect your steering wheel audio controlls.
2. You will need an aditional adapter to subscribe to Sirius/XM radio.
You will also need to purchas an overhead montior for the passengers to watch TV which I expected and purchased also.

What's great about it: VERY feature packed and good price!
What's not so great: Many features take a bit to learn to use them all. The manual helps.
You hear the term "all in one" a lot. But more often than not it really isnt true without added equipment or extra gadgets, cables, subscriptions, etc. BUT, this unit has all those things and MORE.
The Basics:
Music: This plays CDs/DVDs and MP3 CDs and most home burned discs as well. It sounds excellent and has several good sounding EQ settings and you can fully tweek your own. Additionally, it plays HD Radio WITHOUT having to buy an additional tuner. It had an additional HD tuner to pick up traffic, news, weather, etc as well. It has BUILT IN satalite radio as well. You will need a subscription for that, but you wont need to buy an additional tuner. It has an SD slot so you can put your music library on an SD card and keep it in the deck. It does recognize Windows media player created playlists! It also has front USB that can access your iPod/iPhone's music AND music apps like iheart radio and Pandora! I dont have an iPhone, but the USB port did work for a flash drive. I could put my Droid in mass storage mode and it did find and playback the music on it as well as charging it! It does display album art on HD radio channels and track info. Truely a music lovers deck!
Bluetooth: The bluetooth function on this unit is top notch as well. All you need to do is pair your phone with it and go. The sound quality is great both incomming and outgoing. It can sync your contacts so you can use the deck to find your contacts. It will also display incomming caller ID if the caller is in you contacts list. The included mic is small with a long cable to you can stash it in a convienient location.
Nav: The Navigation is as good as can be. There is millions of POIs which you can search for via type, nearest, name, and even phone number. Names of streets are spoken by name #even though some may not be propperly pronounced# by a pleasent female voice that isn't overly robotic sounding. If you plot a route and say, stop for gas or food, the guidance will resume when you get back in the car, even if you shut the car off! The HD traffic feature can integrate with the navigation to get you around bad traffic, construction, or accidents! It works well and has saved me time coming home from work! Of course you can listen too any of your audio sources #even watch DVDs# and the unit will chime in when it is time to turn. The lane guidance will tell you what lanes you need to be in to make turns, exits, etc to avoid being in a turn only lane whne you needed to go straight.
DVD playback: This unit playback DVD video. Out of the box, playback of video is disabled when the car is in motion and the P-brake is off, but there is ways around that. Video playback looks great and the color is true. It wont rival a good HD display like a computer or TV, but it looks pretty good and has video outputs to output to other monitors. The onscreen controls get the job done of navigating DVD menus.
Backup Camera: You can attach a backup camera to this unit too. It was very easy to do and if you hook it up propperly it automatically switches to backup cam view when you put the car in reverse. With a good camera the picture is clear and handy for parking or backing large vehicles or vehicles with limited rear visability #like my '11 Camaro#. A great added feature, but you will need to supply your own camera.
OVERALL: I got this unit on sale at BB for 799. Not a bad price at all considering you dont need to buy extra stuff for bluetooth, nav, HD radio, sat radio, and all. It does a lot of stuff and does it well. It is plenty fast at startup and rerouting and mode switching is very quick. With all the added features this thing is a great choice for anyone wanting an aftermarket ALL in One that really is ALL IN ONE!

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing
This unit far surpasses any Nav/Entertainment unit made by Pioneer. I owned a Pioneer AVIC F90BT and had nothing but problems. It would lock up and would be rendered useless for navigation and music and would have to be re-booted with the original operating system.
The JVC unit has not given me any problems and comes with free HD traffic info with the ability to re-route. I would recommend this unit to anyone in the market for an indash Nav/Entertainment unit. As with any computer system, be sure to back up the operating system and all it's files.
