What's great about it: Great picture quality, wi-fi ready made set up a breese.Didn't expect so many features and services.
My first experience with blu-ray. I was surprised at the various capabilities as I only expected to view movies. Stereo separation is incredible, but again, this may be standard on these machines running through a good sound system. A great first WOW experience, and very affordable.

What's great about it: Lots of Apps available, Netflix is great
What's not so great: Wifi setup was difficult
Great player, has touchscreen buttons on player itself so it has a very modern appeal. Best to plug in for easy internet setup. I had to manually input DNS and IP settings for wifi use. Remote control is not backlit but play pause and rewind buttons glow in the dark.

What's great about it: Picture, apps
What's not so great: slow accessing apps, trouble playing some Blu rays, trouble streaming netflix
This player has lots of great features wifi, tons of apps but the only problem is that doesn't perform well. Player responds slowly while trying to access apps and with commands while using apps. Player also sometimes has trouble playing blu ray disc. Biggest reason I got the player was for the wifi and netflix to stream movies in my living room. Netflix is very slow and lots of times will lose connection. The picture will also become choppy and then begin to rebuffer. Overall not pleased with the player. My PS3 never has trouble playing blu rays and streams netflix without difficulty. May just end up getting a second one for the living room.

What's not so great: Netflix App
Good device. DVDs and Blue-rays work great. The Remote is a little hard to get used to. Need to turn a light on to see it before pressing buttons. DON’T buy this for Netflix, you will have nothing but issues. Samsung cant get Netflix to stream properly on there App. You will get the “We can't play this title right now…” I own two different models of Samsung Blue-ray players. Both have Netflix issues. Many hours of research and phone calls. Samsung is the issue, not Netflix, or network, or timezone issue, or factory reset.

What's great about it: It has nice features and a nice picture
What's not so great: It is really slow and does not stream content very well
It plays Blu Rays just fine. It has a nice picture. I like the Smart Hub and the apps. However, it loads Blu Rays rather slow and when streaming (VUDU HDX and MLB.tv) is has to buffer often. It even locks up from time to time, requiring a reboot.
If I had it to do over again, I would have held out for a faster player with better processing and network performance, even if it cost a bit more.

Spent $50 more to get a Wi-Fi Blu-ray only to find that it doesn't work with Apple Airport. Should have returned it.

What's great about it: The up conversion.
What's not so great: Sluggish UI; Slow load times; Constant need to reset the unit.
I really want to give this player a good review since I purchased it as an open box at less than half the retail price; am VERY pleased with the DVD up-conversion (better than my Sony Google TV box) and the built in WiFi is great.
BUT...
1) It constantly has to be reset (at least 5 times a week) by turning off the unit and unplugging it from the outlet for 15 seconds. THIS is VERY ANNOYING! For whatever reason, this is an ongoing issue with this manufacturer and similar other models (do your research).
2) The choice of apps, or lack their of, leaves much to be desired. No Amazon or a host of other very common, popular apps.
3) The interface is sluggish at best and you have a 50/50 chance of getting a smooth transition from app to app.
4) The remote is not user friendly and the layout is far to tight causing you press the wrong button inadvertently.
5) Each time you start the app "Hub", you have to sign in. EVERY TIME! Why it does not remember this by default puzzles me.
7) The load time is SLOOOOOOOOOOOW! But, not uncommon since this technology is still being developed.
8) If a Blu Ray or DVD is in the tray, it will auto-start the disc and you have to wait to stop it to get to the UI. Another annoying feature.

PLEASE be advised that you will NEED a newer N-Router if you want to go wireless since the earlier B or G models have serious issues with streaming and maintaining a connection. Be sure to have both 2.4 & 5 GHZ as options just in case. I've also heard that an N router is best even when wired but I have yet to test this out.
In closing, I'm not totally turned off by this player. It does have a couple good features and the up-conversion is brilliant! Yet, for the price, you can find several other manufactures (Sony; Toshiba) that do the same things but better; offer more features and have far fewer issues. Had I of paid full retail or even sale retail or, honestly, more than the $75.00 I paid I'd have taken the player back immediately! Given that I did purchase the 4 year service contract I still may do this!
I do, on the upside, get plenty of exercise having to get up and unplug the unit constantly. Beats the heck outta going to the gym!

What's not so great: Typing with the remote & slow to connect to the internet via the wifi.
The Samsung DVD player is very easy to set up & worked fine right out of the box. My only negative is that the wifi function works slowly. The picture is crisp and the sound is excellent when you play DVD's or CD's. Additionally, once you get Pandora up and running, the sound is very good, although, typing with the remote is a bit cumbersome.

I really like it. Never had a problem with it in the 4 months that I've owned it. I wanted a Samsung player, because I have a Samsung tv and this looked like the best Blue Ray player Samsung had. (The guy in the store said it's best to stick to the same brand.) And it is easy to use and set up.

Setup was fairly simple. Had a brief IP issue that solved itself. Works very well with Netflix and Internet accounts. Connected seamlessly with Samsung Plasma TV.

What's great about it: Got it for almost half price with 6 months same as cash.
What's not so great: Not enough buffer time when streaming.
It worked great the first day (with Netflix) - no problems. For the next two weeks, it sputtered and buffered to the point where I had to call it quits. I now use my computer hooked to the TV.

My only problem is that I have had trouble setting up the WIFI wirelessly and have had to connect it to the router that is the only bummer and Samsung could not help me. refered me back to ATT who wants to charge me. Good thing I got the DVD player on sale.
