What's great about it: Easy to set up, Great price, Includes internet access,
What's not so great: Non standard footprint.
This unit does everything I wanted. It includes internet connectivity and apps to access Amazon, Hulu, and many others. It does not include wireless connectivity but I prefer wired myself. It has fast boot up and disk load times. The picture quality is excellent. It was easy to setup. About the only thing I did not like about this unit is that it has a small, non-standard, footprint. This may not be a problem for some people but because I already had a non-standard footprint item on top of my other AV equipment, I could not find a way to put this in the same stack with my other AV equipment. For this reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

What's great about it: Versatility and access to web content
What's not so great: Funky navigation
I really like this DVD player. My only gripe is the navigation of menus for the web based functionality like Pandora. The dedicated "Netflix" button is a win as it simplifies the task for my kids.

What's great about it: Small, quiet, fast, good apps
What's not so great: Why didn't I get this sooner
I originally bought a Vizio DVD because I have the Vizio 3D TV and I figured there would be some compatibility. OMG, the absolute worst DVD player I've ever had. It skipped, it was incredibly slow, it made so much noise, we had to turn it off to hear the dishwasher, seriously, loud all the time, not just while loading.
In contrast we loved the this DVD player so much we got another one and used it for a TV that was not even 3D because it worked so well. It loads fast, it's quiet, the menus are intuitive and the apps are great. It's also tiny, especially compared to the Vizio. It's about 8" deep and an inch high or so, the Vizio looked like an old VCR, huge. This one does not have WiFi which is OK by us as our 3D TV has all the same apps (Netflix and such) and is WiFi, but we also got the bdt210 model which does have WiFi and that works very well and can easily stream Netflix even though the TV is far from our WiFi router. Originally we got the first one for the deal were you get Avatar 3D for free, it took about 6 weeks to get and enjoyed the movie, but I would buy this even without the Avatar offer.
If you are thinking to get this or the next model up, the bdt210, it offers built in WiFi and a feature where you wave you hand over the player and it opens which is very cool. I would have gotten two bdt210, but they had a sale on the bdt110 one week and the bdt210 the other.

What's not so great: Can only use Panasonic DY-WL110 if you actually want to link with wifi.
I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. Everything said that this did not have a built in wifi, but one of the Panasonic reps said that you could use any USB wifi adapter to get wifi working with the player. Well, I went out and purchased a generic USB wifi adapter based off of what the Panasonic rep said. So on my wife's birthday, I gave her the player and tried to hook it all up for her. While in the middle of this, I discovered that Panasonic requires that you purchase their USB wifi adapter (which costs about sixty dollars on top of the forty dollars that I had already spent on the generic adapter). So I had to apologize to my wife, who thought it w funny since I am normally good about electronics, and ordered the Panasonic DY-WL110. Now it works great. Just wish I would have know this all before. Would have been nice to have it all working in her birthday. Thanks BestBuy and Panasonic for not helping me with this before. Now I see that BestBuy does display this on their web page. Before, all they offered for accessories was a Logitech remote, and HDMI cable.

Purchased a new disc player along with a theater setup recommended
by Best Buy consultant. From initial play, the device would "skip" on audio and video. Followed by a blank screen, with prompt "no signal".
After 5 to 10 seconds play would resume several frames later. This would occur multiple times thruout the movies. First response from rep was to reconnect cables. This did not correct problem. Second response was to try a new blu-ray disc. Purchased new disc and problem still present. Upon taking the device back to Best Buy for an exchange, I was informed that Panasonic policy is not to exchange but must send out for repair! At purchase I was told warranty good for a year, no mention of a repair clause. Also told that even if extended warranty is taken, still will be sent out for repair. After a few days of technician confirming defective device, they sent out for repair which will take 2 to 3 weeks. In the future, will attempt to deal with brands that are more responsive to customers. Disappointed with Panasonic!

What's great about it: Picture, quick load
What's not so great: Bad remote and non Resume capability
I bought a Sony BD player over a year ago and hated it. Slow load times and minimal remote usage. Its one saving grace was the time display with its own button. But it couldn't even read dual layer discs despite claiming to. So with 2 years left on my warranty, I upgraded to a new player.
Enter the Panasonic 3D BD player. The bootup time was much faster. Dual layer discs work. It came with 3D Avatar (after mail-in). It seemed to let me past all the stupid warnings, info boxes, etc. by pressing skip, but then the actual use was frustrating. (Try watching any series BD where the warnings pop up over and over.) Some obscure button is next to the Pause button that takes me out of the movie and back to player setup and yet another bootup. Of course in the dark, I'm usually in a good part of the movie, go to hit Pause for a break, and it stops. Dead. Push Play to resume and it starts the bootup process all over again. Who thought this would be a great feature? So I need to write down where I am if I want to stop it, or worse yet, hit Stop by mistake and look track of where I am. Note: keep a flashlight nearby at all times. I also have to find the "main" key and finger count left, right and down to try to hit other keys.
I read that most BD discs are programmed to not allow resuming, but it is the player that is ultimately in control, not the consumer, so someone blew it.
Trying to pull up the display is another headache. I want a single button to see where I am, not go through all the sub menus. And there is no jump to feature, so after stopping instead of pause, I have to guess which chapter, fumble with the fast forward keys, and hit play when it gets close without hitting Stop yet again.
3D mode seems to be okay. I can't take a lot of it at a time so it has limited use but it seems clear with my Sony 3D TV.

What's great about it: Easy setup and ease of operation.
What's not so great: Automatic update timing.
I bought this as a replacement for a Sharp Blu-ray player that had serious problems, which wouldn't play most Blu-ray discs and it was very hard to update the firmware. This Panasonic has none of those problems. Setup was quick and easy. I just plugged in my old power cord and HDMI cable and added an ethernet cable, and it quickly connected to the internet by itself, updated the firmware, and viola, it worked. I have played only two Blu-ray discs so far, and both loaded quickly and have good picture quality, not stunning, but pretty good. I haven't tried a regular DVD and so will update the review once I have done that.
Two small problems, neither are deal breakers. First problem is that this unit has a very small footprint, so much smaller than my old unit that I had to redress the wiring so it wouldn't show ( poor me ). Second, and bigger problem, though quickly solved, is that the firmware automatic update is whenever it likes and interrupts playback and doesn't return to where you were, so you have to go back to the menu and do a scene selection and then fast forward to where it left off. That is just plain rude. Solution --- turn off the automatic updates. Easy enough to use the menu to trigger a manual update ( the only thing "manual" about it is pressing the "manual update" button ). There should have been a way to select the time for automatic updates, or do it at 4:00 am like my DVR does. No problem. And maybe there is a way to set the time and I just haven't figured that out.
I haven't tried streaming yet, as there are bandwidth issues, but I might try it at some point.
Bottom line --- I am very happy with this unit and would even buy another one for my other television, except there is no ethernet port near my other television. I might have to try a Panasonic with wireless.

This is my second Blu-ray player and first with apps preloaded on it. The picture quality is excellent. Disc load time is very quick. The apps are my favorite feature because I can stream Youtube, Hulu, Dailymotion, and Netfix direct to my TV. Have not tried out the 3D yet as we do not have a 3D TV. What's not so great: Didnt have Skype camera
I have an earlier model of this player and just expected this one to be the same, only play 3D movies. I was completely amazed at the features it had. Price wise, there are cheaper bd players, but nothing compares to the speed, features, compatability with other Panasonic products, and of course Panasonic Quality-Nothing beats it. My reccomendation is, if it says Panasonic onit-BUY IT- and you'll be happy.

What's great about it: Interface
What's not so great: Java doesn't work, text input
We love the built in wi-fi! The interface is easy to use and we're happy w/the features (although we haven't explored much beyond YouTube and Netflix). It's boots up really fast too, we had another blu-ray player that took FOREVER to start up.
One con, but it's probably user error: We can't get video from websites on the browser to play. We keep getting a Java error and aren't sure how to fix this (no prompt to load Java or anything). Also, it's not a deal breaker but the interface for entering text is LAME. Not sure it could be much better, we're looking into getting a wireless keyboard.
