Good product but can't get it set up properly

What's great about it: I'm told it is a highly rated product. I don't question that.
What's not so great: Very poor tech support from both manufacturer and retail agent.
The monitor works but not as it is supposed to. LG customer service has not responded to my requests for tech support and a friend who bought the same item says they wanted to charge him for tech support. Best Buy told me I just need to "tweak it" a bit but couldn't describe exactly what "tweaking it" means. I bought this monitor because of the rated quality but, at this moment, I don't think I'll ever buy another LG product.

What's great about it: Perfect size, picture quality and graphic display.
Compared this monitor against several other brands on display and it was by far a better picture quality and after research, found the company has a better reputation for quality, durability and longevity. Considering the price was also lower than most, it was a simple decision and was a great buy. Would buy again without hesitation. Works flawlessly.

Replaced a dead 19-inch 3x4 frame, and the wide screen is a super improvement and picture. Plugged in and fired up and never an issue.

What's great about it: Big wide screen
What's not so great: buttons are hard to find and use
The monitor is good for any computer with either a d-sub or hdmi cable.
This product has... Easy to setup, Difficult to adjust/use buttons, No speakers, HDMI connection

This is a GREAT monitor and a GREAT price! Very clear/bright display. supports both VGA and DVI (so you can hook it up to a computer with each and toggle between the pc's or just use with one or the other).

We had to install a new graphics card to support the resolution, but the computer we hooked it up to is good, so no worries. The DVI connection is single-link, not dual-link, so the DVI cable I got for it doesn't fit, unfortunately :( My bad for not checking. Looks good though, works great.

What's not so great: The monitor giggles if you bump the desk. Stand connector not the best qualitity
The FLATRON E2041 is a very sharp and crisp picture. It seems fast enough for any video I have watched. It doesn't create a lot of heat . The 20" screen seemed small in the store but when I got it home it was quite large. Any bigger would have taken all my desk space and I would have to sit farther away from it. As it is very BRIGHT.

What's great about it: Value for the money
What's not so great: Could use more black/white contrast
This is pretty much an install-it-and-forget-it monitor that won't knock your socks off with its dazzling picture, but you won't be conscious of any shortcomings either. Once you install it, you'll take if for granted.
It comes with a utility to help you optimize the color settings, but I couldn't get the black/white contrast as strong as I'd like. This monitor doesn't appreciate web designers who think gray font on a colored background looks cool.
I wasn't sure my old video card would handle this monitor, because of the wide screen and higher resolution, but it installed with no effort, and I really appreciated getting two Excel spreadsheets side by side with enough columns showing to be useful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Price, picture quality and vivid colors
What's not so great: Some people complain about the stand, but you couldn't ask for more at this price.
I've purchased one of these monitors about 3 months ago. It has worked great thus far! I've just ordered a second one for my dual screen setup as my other monitor's (Acer) picture quality does not even nearly match this LG!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Exceptional Video Quality, Price, ease of usage and installation.
What's not so great: No negative issues from my experience and personal opinion!
Having many years of practical experience, I installed an NVIDIA HDMI processor / output in my PC several years (about 5 yrs.?)ago to promote a super signal to my then current HD plasma monitor. Brand-name abbreviation similar to monitor type. I was satisfied until the old monitor took a break.
Subsequently, I made an in-store evaluation of the monitors currently available and displayed at Best Buy . Then, purchased the LG E2041.
Now, after several weeks (and HOURS!) of use at a moderately high contrast level and 1600 X 900 resolution, I am extremely satisfied with the QUALITY, adjust ability, and ease of use. Absolutely no negative after thoughts of my judgement have occurred!! In addition, considering the quality and experience from my desk (and cranium?), the purchase price was very economical.
Subsequently, I made an in-store evaluation of the monitors currently available and displayed at Best Buy . Then, purchased the LG E2041.
