What's great about it: I have the flexibility I needed
What's not so great: No complaints!
The manager of the dept was so overwhelming helpful. I told her I was ignorant of all the equipment but this is what I want to be able to do...she was absolutely AWESOME a student herself explained how she used her laptop and such which was exactly what I am doing and this was the best choice for me! She should be rewarded for outstanding customer service...don't see that much anymore!! Thanks!

What's great about it: Faster than dial-up
What's not so great: Shuts off randomly.
As we have no other options for accessing the internet except dial-up, we had been using the little flash-drive type unit for wireless internet access. These became bent and/or broken on a regular basis, so we opted for this hot-spot device. Although it is not without issues, it does serve the purpose fairly reliably. The device and/or network shuts off and has to be restarted on a regular basis which can be annoying, especially during a download, etc. But overall it is still far superior to dial-up for those of us in the boondocks!
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Internet loads fast
Don't know allot about computers and stuff, so I needed something easy and it is simple!

What's great about it: reliable internet access
What's not so great: I don't know, you tell me?
I purchased my hot-spot for use at the lake which sits down in a gully poor to no reception for tv/phone so I was really sceptical about this working but ends up I've had no problems. I even use this hot-spot over my home router.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: It shuts when you are using it - can't get it started up again
I don't think it was tested enough before releasing ot he market - It shuts off in the middle of using it. You need to take the battery out and wipe it and then replace it.

What's great about it: Its not slow
What's not so great: It disconnects from the internet sometimes, short battery life
I love the way that the internet works. It doesnt run slow no matter how many devices are connected. I just dont like that it disconnects my ipod touch from the internet.

What's not so great: Tends to lose internet access if I don't have Mozilla running in the background
I have to start the My-Fi 1st, then the laptop and then the printer. If I start the printer 1st, the My-Fi doesn't have internet access.
When PC shows that internet has been lost I have to shut down printer, and My-Fi then restart them both (My-Fi 1st). Not the end of the world but a nuisance.
Not sure if it's a SAMSUNG or Verizon issue
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Easy to carry
What's not so great: Seemed to take a bit to "get a signal".
I've only used a few times. It took a bit to get a signal and hold it, then it was great. Just as easily could have been my location to a tower. I like having the "security" in my hands.

Do NOT feel it is a Best Buy problem, but either Samsung or Verizon

What's great about it: Super good signal through most of my business area
I use this to access this internet when I am not at my desk. It is faster than most free WIFI access points, and allows me to get work done even in a vacant house sometimes ( I am a Realtor). Have had zero problems so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: can use in the car
What's not so great: even when I don't use it it doesn't stay charged
Been disappointed. I have a bill at home for $118 and haven't used it even 2 hours yet. I charge it and then put it in my purse but when I go to use it the charge is gone.

What's great about it: It is small
What's not so great: Unreliable
I purchased it and had problems with it. Brought it back to Best buy 2 days later and they trouble-shot my new iPad and hot spot and determined it was the Hot-Spot. They replaced it and the new one worked better for a while. It was very intermitant. It really let me down on travel to Seattle. I called Best Buy and asked if I could take it to another Best Buy and they indicated I had 30 days to return it in the state I purchased it.
When I took it back to Manhattan Beach Best Buy I found out that because it had been 15 days, I had to pay $175 cancellation fee (for something that does not work and something I am unhappy with). I soke to the manager and he blamed it on Verison. No help

What's not so great: Unit gets warm
Unit seams to get hot. Then the unit will disconnect from the iPad or the cell tower. Have to reset the unit then acquire the signal for the IPad.
The IPad never disconnects from my home wireless signal.

What's great about it: ? - Rarely use it
What's not so great: Doesn't work
I purchased the Verizon Wireless hotspot from Best Buy and I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. It stops working frequently even though all "lights" show that it is working. I brought it into Best Buy to see what the issue was and they told me to run download and run an update on the hotspot. I did that but it didn't help. Finally, my brand-new computer was having issues. In order to start back up, we had to uninstall the Verizon hotspot. And now my computer does not recognize the hotspot. SO FRUSTRATING. I have to find time to go BACK to Best Buy again...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Fastest, most-reliable internet I've found at my rural location
What's not so great: Doesn't work with MAC
When it works it works great, however, the wireless connection on my mac shuts off regularly and turns back on because it is not happy with the signal. I only learned AFTER i bought the product that this is a common problem. The solution was to buy a cradlepoint router, but it turns out this product isn't compatible with any cradlepoint routers. Best Buy does actually sell routers that are compatible with cradle point routers. The best buy salesman didn't know what he was talking about and I wish I would have know about these issue before buying the darn thing. It does work well and fast when it does work, but this has been a frustrating experience having to deal with known issues. Go to cradlepoint.com/support and make sure whatever device you buy is compatible with wireless modem if you plan to go that route and/or have a mac.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: 4G is very fast
What's not so great: Had to call tech support to figure out how to change the password. Poor documentation.
I've had good luck so far using this and the speed is excellent on 4G. Verizon needs to do a better job of explaining how to do important simple things like changing the password. A battery % indicator would be nice too, but if you want good fast Wifi this is a solid device.
