What's great about it: Lightweight yet durable; steam available almost immediately; is able to get into corners and under furniture.
The Shark is very easy to use, is able to get into corners and maneuvers easily around and under furniture. It's lightweight yet durable. I was using a twist mop and the Shark has made cleaning my floors so much easier and less time-consuming!

What's great about it: Steam!
What's not so great: "flop-over" design is strange at first
We've got about 1200 sq ft of tile -- everything except the bedrooms. So cleaning tile clean matters. Sparkling is nice.
I was a splish-splash wet mop fanatic for years. I find Swiffers flimsy and annoying (and they don't do a good job for me). My wife suggested we try the Shark. We went, we bought, and I was converted.
The steam gets (almost) everything off the tile -- including the floor wax that a previous owner used in copious amounts. The tile now looks as good as the day that it was laid down (and I'm not down there with a brush, scrubbing).

Haven't used it a lot, but works very well in my limited experience.
The only issue I have is that it seemed to leave the floors dull-looking, not shiny. The floor was very clean. It did a great job on the mud the dog tracked in.

This has been a great product for my slate flooring. I have been amazed at well it works using nothing but steam.
I would definitely consider purchasing other Shark steam products after my positive experiences with the Professional Steam Pocket Mop.

What's great about it: Ease of use
I don't always like using cleaners to clean the floors so the steam technology is what i needed for that spot cleaning. Easy to use and not chemical residue that can you have to be concerned about for pets or children.

Would totally recommend this item I only wish that it came with the detachable arm that you can clean your appliances and other home surfaces with. It doesn't seem like a "as seen on TV" product it's sturdy and durible. You have to sweep/vacuum prior but when used just for mopping and sanitizing it is great! Liked the Shark product so much that I just bought the Shark Lift Away Vacuum instead of spending the money on a Dyson. It is awesome!

What's great about it: Everything is great about this floor steamer.
Let me be clear, I hate cleaning my floors. I can go a long time avoiding this task; however, since purchasing the Shark Steam Mop, I look forward to cleaning my floors. The steaming process removes dirt and sticky spots - caused by my hairspray - that have required me to deeply scrub in the past. I am no longer on my aching knees to get my floors to their cleanest and shiniest. The staemer is simple to prep and clean following use. Love this product!

I was looking for a small machine to replace my huge Bissell multi surface floor machine, but now I realize that won't happen. THe first time I used this machine, I did not see much dirt on the pads. We do not wear shoes in our house, but I know floors get dirty anyway, as I have seen this first hand. Thus, I went over the floors again, but with more elbow grease. A little more came up and the floors looked like they might be clean but I decided to give it the white glove test. When I wiped some of the tiles with a wet white towel, tons of dirt came off. THe only thing this machine did, was smear dirt. Maybe it sanitized the dirt, but I want clean floors. I tried it a few more times, because it had such great reviews from others, but to no avail. Needless to say, I went over the large area of tiles with my Bissell proHeat... Now my floors are clean.
It kind of makes sense that this method does not work. You need water to spray on the floor and something to suck up the dirty water, as a pad just attracts it and spreads it. Buyer Beware!

I was skeptical about using any steam mop because I have slate floors which are uneven and hard to clean, but this machine does the trick! I use it on my wood and ceramic tile floors as well, its the best!

This "mop" takes a long time to work. I find myself dragging it accross the floor at a snail's pace before I start to see any dirt on the pad. You should allocate an extra hour or two for mopping if you want to use it. After all of that, I can't tell that my floors are any cleaner.

What's not so great: Need more hand held attachments for doing counters etc.
The steamer works great on floors of all types. I wished this had the hand attachment with it though. You'll find that floors are easily cleaned in the fraction of the time. If you use a clean micro fiber head (you can clean it in the wash) then you can even steam your bed and kill off all the mites. It also makes carpet and pillows smell fresh. Use it in the shower and it even cleans that well. Works great.

I bought this steamer to clean steam clean mattresses and floors. It worked well for steaming the mattresses, didn't get as hot as had hoped. Used it on my floors once and now it will not work. The second time I tried to use it... I let it heat up for about 5 minutes and it will not even stay on the dust setting. So I let it heat up longer and still would not even stay on the dust setting. This product is junk ...I do not recommend it and I will never buy another Shark of any model. I bought the Pro thinking I was going to get more cleaning power...should have known better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product it is great. I originally had the first shark steam mop that was purple and it was amazing, but I wanted the different shaped heads and the dual sides pads. It is amazing, and this one has three levels of steam and you don't have to pump to make the steam work which makes it much easier to clean, and you have a consistent amount of steam being produced! It cleans way better than any of those mops you buy at the grocery store! And it smells clean and not like chemicals when you are done! I recommend this to everyone!

What's great about it: So far, everything is as advertised. Mop pads are washable.
What's not so great: Haven't found anything.
Steam mop works well on my etched and stained concrete floors. Use the vacuum and dust mop before steam mopping with this mop. Floors are cleaner than any other type of mopping. Steam cleaning has to kill germs with the heat. Another bonus. Water tank holds enough water to do my floors with almost half a tank left. That's on the highest steam setting and around 1000 plus square feet of concrete floor. This mop should do well on any hardwood, tile, linolium and concrete floor as long as the floor surface is smooth.

Bought the pro model after much debate of whether I really wanted a steam mop. So glad I bought it. The steam is quick, and the floors really smell clean. Tried the carpet glider and the carpet looked fresh and clean and even raised the nap on the carpet. The tile floors and laminate gleam when you are finished. I use the distilled water, because I do not want the hard water build up in the machine. Easy to use, lightweight. Great product, would definitely recommend to a friend.
