What's not so great: no have HDMI output, Flashlight is in a bad location.
Excellent 16x Zoom, good quality pictures, no blur pictures in movement.

What's great about it: Clarity of pictures, price and features
What's not so great: Take a while to focus zoom
Alright, I needed a family picture taking camera, nothing too fancy or pricey. This is best. Remember to use the specify camera features for ever picture you take. It really improves the quality. Ex. Use outdoor setting, low lighting,etc. With that in mind pictures a great. Everything is perfect except...the zoom on the camera takes a few seconds to focus, but once it focuses it is amazing. Great for anyone looking for a good value and quality camera.

What's great about it: Great zoom and compact

All I can say is that I had great expectations for this camera and it hasn't disappoint me at all. I had to buy it for my last camera died on me and I was going on a trip. The optical zoom is great specially for a point-n-shoot, and for the price!
I recommend, it is easy to use & has a lot of features very useful and it is compact!

What's great about it: It turns on quickly so it's ready in a "flash"
What's not so great: Some of the settings can be overwhelming to a beginner
I bought this as an almost impulse buy for a trip to Las Vegas after researching some other cameras. I looked at this camera briefly IMO quest to locate my ideal camera but didn't initially choose it for purchase but after tinkering with the display model in the store I realized that it was the perfect size with the perfect features (probably more than I'll ever need!) for a great price and I'm happy I made the purchase.

What's great about it: Instructions are easy to follow and the photos are very nice
What's not so great: Timer delay is only one attempt. Previous camera allowed for two delayed shots
Nice camera for someone who is not a real photographer. Able to view what I want to take a picture of easily. Photos have turned out nicely. Camera has several features that I have not tried yet. Battery appears to be long lasting as I have not recharged since making the purchase.

What's great about it: 16X Zoom, Ease of Use, Small Size

The ZS8 is my second Panasonic point and shoot camera. My last one was their 10X zoom model. This is a fantastic point and shoot camera that is really easy to use. I shoot most of my pictures in "Intelligent Auto" mode which takes a lot of the guess work out of the settings. The 16X zoom is awesome as well and even with zoom like that the camera is still compact in size. I have purchased two additional cameras to give as gifts as I have been so impressed. This camera can usually be found on sale for less than $200. I couple the camera with a Eye-Fi memory card for seemless photo transfers to my home PC. Battery life is good. Shooting in low light at distance isn't the best, but that was to be expected. It shoots excellent pictures in daylight both inside and out.

What's great about it: Compact, anti-shake, great zoom, high quality pictures!
I love this camera! I wanted something compact that had a great zoom and anti-shake function. You can manually set the controls or use the preset ones. The pics come out great! Only recommendation is to get a large memory card...internal memory holds @10. Battery life holds up well...used it all day before I had to recharge the battery. Great camera at a reasonable price!

I researched point and shoot digital cameras for a long time and was set to buy a Nikon. However, the sales rep at BB showed me this Panasonic as well as a Canon. She suggested that I go to the BB website and look at the reviews and then come back to the store for a hands on trial of each. (Pretty good customer service, I'd say.) Once I saw the reviews and held the cameras, I was sold on the Panasonic Lumix ZS8. And after a month of use, I'm glad I did. I've used it at a wedding, a birthday party, and Easter, taking over 250 shots. There isn't a bad shot in the bunch. Also, just want to let you all know that when I was online on the BB website, the price was much cheaper than the store price. Of course once I pointed that out, the sales rep got her manager to match the online price. Ya gotta love Best Buy!

This was a great priced camera. The camera does a great job at adjusting the settings in the auto mode. Easy to set timers or make adjustments. Overall a great camera for the value and it also has a great zoom for such a small camera!

What's great about it: Zoom, outdoor pictures
What's not so great: indoor pics and low light pictures indoors arent as clear.
The camera shoots great pictures and the zoom is awesome for a little point and shoot. The anti wabble feature works great. As long as the target you are taking a picture of is still your golden. The camera takes better pictures outdoors than inside, not the the indoor pictures are bad the camera really shines outdoors. Overall I am happy with it and would recommend it to anybody looking for a nice point and shoot.

This is by far the best point and shoot camera out there. I have been upgrading for the last 5 years with each new lumix model and have never been disappointed. It's so gratifying to have someone ask where I bought the 30"x40" framed print hanging on my bedroom wall and I get to tell them that I didn't buy it but I did snap the shot! The look on their face is priceless when I show them the camera I used to take that amazing shot. Get this camera, you will be so glad you did!

What's great about it: The pre-programmed scene selections are good. The long zoom is one of the best features
What's not so great: Would like it to be just a little smaller for a pocket camera
Love the 16x zoom. It's pretty easy to use, and a good size. Smaller would be better, but it packs a lot in a relatively small body. I lost this camera, and replaced it with exactly the same one. Nothing out there in this price range that I like better.

I had to upgrade from my cannon camera since I am working as a flight attendant and seen the world and capturing the experiences needed a little extra quality. I found this camera at an amazing price on sale for 139 which is 50% off.
The quality is great, the zoom is AMAZING and the overall performance of the camera has me very happy. it is a little big to keep in your pocket but for a better quality, this should not be a big deal.
It also has a lot of different setting that are really cool, once I was coming back from LA and was trying to shoot the polar lights and found out there is a function that captures the lights in complete darkness. The shoots were amazing. It is not a pro camera but is definitively the next step from a basic camera.

What's great about it: compact size, big performance
What's not so great: does not have a manual focus
I bought this camera for a digital photography class in college, and so far I am really impressed that it can handle everything the larger digital cams can, but packed in such a small size. I found it really easy and intuitive to learn to use and the quality of my photography has improved immensely. I chose this one after reading several reviews by professional photographers who use this model as a quick 'go to' out in the field when they couldn't take their heftier cameras, almost all of them had nothing but praise. As a student, I find it more than suits my needs.

Great product, great pictures, easy to use. It offers several programs, from 'point-to-shoot' till 'you-set-everything'. The rechargeable battery lasts long, even when making HD videos. I strongly recommend this camera.

I love this camera. I have always had trouble with focus and placement of the main item in the picture, but with this camera all I had to do was point and shoot. For the first time in my life, I've taken some really good pictures. The telescope lens is also very easy to use and does a tremendous job. Overall, I love the camera and am so very satisfied with my purchase.

What's great about it: All my shoots where in focus as nikon s9100 shoots where out of focus
What's not so great: the only thing i miss from the nikon was it could ajust the picture in the camera
I had bought nikon s9100 and returned because like so many other people camera didn't want to focus on alt of shoots. When it did the pictures where really good. But to many shots wouldn't focus. So i bought the panasonic zs-8 and took pictures with both camera's and viewed each shoot i took. The zs-8 never was out of focus and the color in the picture's where sharper and had more color. I took about fifty of the same pictures with each camera. Both inside and outside. After alot of out of focus shots with the s9100. I called staples up and told them i was returning the camera. Again never had a out of focus shot with the zs-8. And another thing that was important was the screen on outdoor shoots. The s9100 has a 960,000 screen and the zs-8 has a 260,000 screen but it was just as good in the bright sun as the s9100.
