What's great about it: Easy set up
What's not so great: Sticks out too far
I had this item for about a year and a half. I used it everyday and sometimes all day. It withstood. All you have to do is plug it into your usb port and your computer will automatically find it. I had to purchase this new one because it sticks out far and it took a lot of bangs before it broke. It was easy to knock out of the usb port. It is plastic so eventually it broke. I use it for my desktop. So for those of you that have a router and want to make your desktop "wireless" , then this is perfect.

What's great about it: plugs right into tower
What's not so great: is wider than most USB items
Basically, my wireless adapter works great and hasn't caused any problems with my online functions, but the fact that is is a little wider than other plug-ins makes it hard to use the connection next to it.

What's not so great: It didn't work at all. Had to return it.

What's great about it: good price, easy set up and works great
I live in apartment with family members which have laptops and wireless internet and i have a desktop no wireless so i bought this usb adaptor and put in my computer it works perfectly, sometime it slow but i think its the internet provider not the usb cable

What's not so great: very short range
I purchased the device based a the salesperson's recommendation and asked about its range, distance from the router for average connection speeds. Well, the device works great if your router is within a 3' radius. If you router is further away than this it looks its signal strength exponentially to the point at 10' is has little or no signal pickup from the router.
I would NOT recommend this device if your router is more than 3' away!

What's great about it: multi-OS support, works, pretty good range
What's not so great: too bulky, back to back usb devices may struggle to fit together without feeling a bit forced.
I got this because it's compatible with OSX Snow Leopard and Lion, using a third party driver. It isn't recognized OOB by the OS, but after running the installer, it runs great!
I had to place it on the front USB port, as the back ports seem to cut down on the wifi range performance drastically, even though it's only a small two feet distance difference. Maybe I'll reposition my workarea and see if there's an improvement in performance from the back ports.
Running it under Windows, I haven't had any trouble so far, regardless of distance.

What's great about it: Does what it's meant to do
This works very well with computer using it located 40-50 feet from Belkin router. Also picks up signal from neighbor's router located 300 yards away (weak signal, but signal, none the less). Once set up, really requires nothing else.

I bought this for an older computer and I say that it was worth it! It was one of the cheapest ones I could find and is really fast fo its specs. You wouldn't get away with anything like WOW or COD, but will work for basic work stuff and youtube.

This item was not too difficult to set up. My wireless router is on the other side of the house and it picks it up very well, even going trough many walls. My only issue, and I believe that this is a computer issue, is that when I remove a USB device from a USB port without using the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon at the bottom of the taskbar, it disconnects the wireless adapter and I have to reconnect the device, which sometimes is a pain. Otherwise, downloads and internet surfing is very fast. I currently have a 20Mb download and 2Mb upload package through my cable carrier.

Very easy to install and get started with. The computer is not in the same room as the router, and I was having trouble finding an adaptor that would get a strong enough signal. This adapter has been great. We haven't had any problems with it at all.

One laptop in home constantly dropped Internet connection after changing providers. The Belkin adaptor enhanced the speed during surfing and download time. Couldn't live without it! Simple setup-I used the drivers only, did not need the bloat of additional software. A win!

What's great about it: Easy install, excellent price.
What's not so great: Packaging suggest works only with Belkin routers. Not true! Works fine with my non-Belkin gear.
Exactly as advertised -- easy install, just load CD, follow instructions, plug device into USB port when told. Worked instantly with my old Netgear router (802.11a/b) as well as with my new Verizon FiOS router. eMachines desktop, Windows 7.

What's great about it: Has a strong signal.
This wireless adapter is great and works like a gem. It was used on an older computer three rooms away from the router and has good signal strength, allowing the PC to access the internet without any problems.
