What's great about it: gameplay, storyline, plot
The game is different and fun from most games. The story line is incredible all the characters from Batman are woven into the game, sometimes you are working with the villains to beat other villains. It is challenging but doable. Would definitely recommend this game.

What's not so great: nothing...but it has crashed and frozen my ps3 a few times
Im not a hardcore gamer and barley play games...but when I do, i like to play chill and fun games...i like good graphics and good game play and pretty much only play free-roam games like GTA and Red Dead and Just Cause 2...First off all, im not really into super heroes, so when i got the first game...arkham asylum, i was like...Batman? Really? but tried it and ended up liking it alot...Arkham City is just like Arkham Asylum on BIGGER and BETTER. This really is a must buy, i wasnt gonna buy any games this year, but i heard it was so good, i had to...and it was worth it

this is a great game, don't listen to the one star people they have no idea what they are talking about. yes i agree the fighting could be better but you can make it harder but setting the level to the hardest level. and as of picking up objects to use like a gun batman doesn't use guns he uses his own weapons. there is a lot of free lance opportunity which makes the game better, and after you "beat" the game you still can continue to play with more story line. great game fun and action packed

What's great about it: Absolutely nothing
What's not so great: Boring, not fun, not much to do.
I don't know why everyone was going crazy over this game. It's not even fun, it's boring. I bought it for $30 from Best Buy and honestly, it was a waste of money. There is no multiplayer or co op. It's just plain boring. The fighting is way too easy and you can't pick up weapons like guns or baseball bats. There's no free roam either, which takes away from the game a lot. Ya the graphics are good but that's the only good thing about it. Don't waste your money on this game.

What's not so great: saving takes awhile
I loved Arkham Asylum and couldn't wait for the City to come out. The two games are very similar, but the City is HUGE! It assumes some knowledge of the gameplay used in the Asylum, but beginners should be able to catch on quickly. The story is just so fun that you won't be able to stop playing for hours at a time. Great game!

the controls were the same as the previous game, so everything was already familiar. The graffics were awesome and you have alot of area to cover. With the add on packages, this is one very playable game!

Great game and an improvement over Arkham Asylum. You’ve got improved gameplay, a more interesting storyline, and a much larger environment to roam around in. If you enjoyed Asylum, then you won’t be disappointed with Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham City is a fantastic game. It might not be a good idea for the really young ones as it there is graphic violence (but no killing :) and adult language.
This game is much better than Arkham Asylum which was still a great game. They packed it with more content, Batman mythology, and gamer love. Even if you aren't a Batman afficcionado but action, great graphics, and smooth fighting style - get this game!

Great game, way better than the Arkham Asylum. I ordered it during the Black Friday sale, and got it three weeks later. Fortunately, still before Christmas.

What's not so great: No Co-op play. Would have been great to have a side kick along with Batman during some levels.
I bought this during the Thanks-Giving Sale of 2011. I was waiting to get UC-3 and Skyrim as well but my luck ran out. I was glad I got Batman at least or else my holidays would have been a bummer.
There are some good improvements over Arkham Asylum, but they retained many of the same features. The graphics has improved and the overall game play is also quite good. The story line is good and the side missions are well laid out.
I just finished the main story line and have to replay to finish the other side quests. Unlike in Arkham Asylum where we could play as the Joker, there there are many more characters to play as - each with their unique gadgets and skills. This significantly improves the replay value of the game. This time around they added specific levels/quests for CatWoman and also other playable characters as well. Am going to get NightWing and see how things span out.
Some of the riddler's puzzles add an interesting touch as well. The puzzles are quite easy and not too difficult to solve- you just need the right gadgets and also many times some out of the box thinking.
So if you are contemplating buying this and are reading my review - I say its well worth your money.

Endless hours of fun between storyline and challenges. Excellent followup to Arham Assylum. Wasn't dissapointed. Love this game can't wait for a third one!
