What's great about it: The size, the sound quality!!
What's not so great: Short cord but not a big deal cause it's supposed to be portable
Bought this speaker 2 days ago to use in the golf cart while playing and it is awesome for that task!! A friend visited for golf and we had great tunes all day. You can buy this speaker for one day and it's worth the price. Assuming that it continues to work OK it's a great investment.
Its not intended to replace laptop speakers as one of the other posters noted.
You can use it by the pool, at the beach, golf, and probably other places too.
If you buy and use this speaker for what its intended to be used for you will not be disappointed.
Best $10 you can spend on a compact speaker for where you don't want to use headphones. It is not a boom box, not Bose, but I don't want to take $200-$300 speakers to the beach anyway.

What's not so great: It lasted about a week
This product only lasted about a week then is would not turn up in volume even with fresh batteries.

What's great about it: Great price, great sound projection
What's not so great: Short cord from speaker to ipod/external audio source
I bought this to use with my ipod at times when headphones would be inconvenient such as while I'm getting ready for work, cooking in the kitchen, or cleaning around the house. The sound quality is excellent and the battery power has been good. The price point is a bargain at $9.99.
The only criticism I have is that the cord that attaches the speaker to the ipod is a bit short.
We have 3 of these in our household and we're quite pleased with them overall!

I bought theses thinking that a speaker that took batteries would give me a little more volume but i guess i thought wrong. I can't get much if any more volume out of this speaker than a can get off my laptop and the sound is considerably worse than my laptop speakers. I guess if you had no speakers at all in your computer they would be ok since some sound is better than none. The wife even hooked one up to her phone and although it was better than what came out of her phone its nothing to jump up and down about.
