What's not so great: I'll never know when the videos were taken
I was initially very impressed with this camara. It comes with Everio Media Browser that is easy to install the the movies download quickly with a simple push of a button. The camara itself holds hours of video. The most important disadvantage is that the date/time stamp will not accompany the video to ANY software, not even the recommended Everio software. In addition, you only get 8 characters (yes, 8) to state what is on the entire DVD you are burning. So you basically can only type in the year. So if you want to know how long your vacation was that you took 10 years ago, the month you took it in, or when your child learned how to walk, you'll have to write it on a piece of paper and keep it with that DVD. If you can think of just one instance that you would want the date/time, do not buy this camara. JVC customer service cannot/will not recommend a software program I can buy to accomplish the date/time stamp because the camara itself will not send the data.

What's great about it: Small & compact.
Haven't tested it extensively yet, but I can say the picture is nice and the camera is super small and compact. It fits in my fiance's jeans pocket. Really easy to operate too. Make sure you get a memory card right away though, because it won't record anything without it. I will leave an update after my Mexico wedding.
