What's great about it: Light weight and plenty of power
What's not so great: Not a big fan of the attachments
Considered Dyson. Friends told me about the Shark. It was on sale, so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did!!

What's great about it: price
What's not so great: function
I had my unit for about 5 weeks and decided to return it. The vacuum brush is WAY too aggressive on the carpet (hard to control and pulls itself along) and for bare floors the vacuum pressure is only on one side of the short nozzle. It wouldn't pick up cat litter even after several passes. Very disappointed. Thankfully I purchased with premier silver reward zone and had 45 days to return. Bought the DC41 to replace it, and so far very impressed.

What's great about it: My 12-year old set it up! Easy to set up, good quality.
What's not so great: No room to hang accessories
I was tired of purchasing vacuum cleaners that lost suction after a year of use. I finally found a reliable vacuum! Great buy!

What's great about it: Great suction and pickup ehem dust chamber is empty or full. Lift away option is handy
What's not so great: Narrow base makes it unstable whe using the hose with attachments.
Works great! I can't believe how much more it picks up than my Eureka did. I love not having to but bags anymore. When I vacuum almost no dust goes airborne...it all ends up inside.
Feels a little cheap at times in your hands, but it's performance is awesome.

What's great about it: price, design, quality, it's lavender (wife)
What's not so great: It's lavender (me)
It was finally time to let my ancient Hoover walk into the light so I took a chance on the Shark (based on owner reviews). This is a well designed, light-weight, highly functional vacuum. The removable canister is a nice feature but the vacuum is so compact and light that I could do without it if I had to. Super easy to assemble, operation is intuitive, all parts seem durable and everything works perfectly. The cord doesn't retract and it's a little short. On the other hand, I don't need a long cord to wrap by hand and drag all over the place when I can just plug the vacuum into other outlets as needed. My wife wanted a Dyson Ball but we both agree that the Shark offers way more bang for the buck.

What's great about it: Multi floor, great for pet owners
What's not so great: No retractable cord
I researched vacuums online and bought the Dyson multi floor for $400. I used it once and was just not impressed - so many little issues and it was awful on the carpet. I took it back and bought this one. It is designed much better and works perfectly. And big one here- its $200 cheaper. It sucked up so much dust and per hair from my carpets it was unreal. Easy to switch to wood floor. It's light and easy to move. I highly recommend it.

The Shark Navigator is an awesome vacuum. I just moved into a brand new house with new carpets and after using this vacuum, I was amazed at how much dirt and dust it picks up. I have 2 chihuahuas and I vacuum every three days. It picks up so much pet hair and dust. We almost purchased a Dyson, but I didn't want to spend so much money on a vacuum. After seeing an infomercial on the Shark, I was skeptical. But, for the money we gave it a try, and it was worth it so far! The only thing I wish it has was a larger head. I have a 3600 square foot house, so with the little head on it, it takes a while to do all of the floors. But, all in all, we are very staisfied with it. Well worth the money!

What's great about it: Easy, light weight but durable, simple amazing!
I absolutely love my new Shark vacuum. I really wanted a Dyson and did a ton of research. It came down to price on the Dyson but I'm so glad I didn't pay $500 for the Dyson the Shark is just as great if not better. My girlfriend coughed up the $500 for the ball and let me use it and I love my Shark so much more. It's amazing! It works so well on my hard wood, my rugs and my carpet rooms. I wouldn't change my Vacuum for any Dyson out there! LOVE IT, BUY IT!

I bought this vacuum on the christmas sale at a good price. My wife had seen it on a reveiw on tv and wanted it because the old hover was about 15 yrs. old and not working to well. It seems to work real well, and my wife loves it. There is one draw back to it and that is it is top heavy. It does not set up right by is self very well. My wife had it up right and went to wind up the cord and fell over and the handle hit her in the face and broke her glasses. But other than that it good.

What's great about it: Awesome pet hair picker upper
I have a long haired white cat & suffer from asthma. My former dirt devil could not suck up well & I could feel it throwing what I vacuumed back into my legs. I was sceptical at first to buy something I saw on an info commercial, but I tell you, it's the BEST thing I've ever done! I am amazed by how much cat hair this Shark picks up every week. I have an entire canister full of cat hair. That's what I was breathing in all the time! My asthma has gotten better & I don't have to use my inhaler everyday! I love how the vacuum swivels & is super light weight. I wish it had a light on the front, but, I can live without it. It has great suction & I'm very impressed. This is a MUST have if you have pets! You will be amazed by how much pet hair your other vacuum leaves behind.

Love this vacuum!!!! Love that I can clean my stairs without lugging the whole vacuum up the stairs. Wish the cord was a little longer.

What's great about it: Excellent versatility on carpet and hardwood!
I love this vacuum! We have mostly hardwood floors and a long haired cat, as well as a dog. This vacuum did a fantastic job of getting all the pet fur out of our carpeted areas and it's all I use on the hardwood/tile floors as well. It's a versatile product that is very useful and not too loud either! I can even use it while my daughter (6 months old) is sleeping in the same room! Definitely a worthwhile product!
It is also great in the car and on the stairs. It's light and easy to pick up, even for my 12 year old daughters.

What's great about it: Everything! Best Vacumm I've Ever Owned!!
What's not so great: Nothing.. Machine is amazing!
I've owned a few different vacumms, some more expensive, some less. But never one that has the power of this unit.. It can turn around the floor with ease and removes everything out of carpet and hard floors. The added bonus of being able to remove the smaller part and carry it around makes it even better. Wish I could give it a higher rating. The added bonus when it's on sale really makes it TOP NOTCH!

This vacuum does have some good attachments and features to it. I liked how you could either turn the brush on or off when using it on hardwood flooring. I also liked how easy it was to empty the canister. But with that said this vac didn't even last me a year. The motor is overheating and it'll just shut down. please dont be fooled on it's features, because in the long run it's worth spending the extra 50-100 $ to get a name brand vacuum, not the "as seen on tv" quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best vacuum I ever purchased. Vacuumed an area rug with my old Dirt Devil and then vacuumed with new shark. I was like I hadnt even vacuumed before. So much dirt and pet hair. I actually feelike I breathe easier now that I vacuum with the shark nav lif-away. Use it for my car too.
Great suction, great price. Just like the infomercial. Very impressed.

Just got mine today and its totally unbelievable!! From the moment i turned it on it started picking up hair and dirt that my old Royal kept missing. I have two cats one being white, the main reason i bought this little gem! If your in the market for a new sweeper or just wanna upgrade the SHARK is the way to go!!!

This vacuum is awesome! It is easy to handle and the dirt does not escape all over the place. I love the swivel & how easy it is to empty the dirt tray. We still have a little more bonding to do, but we are fast becoming friends. Thank you Shark navigator.

My friend bought two of these vacuums for her small house cleaning business and she let me try it, (she knows I love to vacuum)...I went out the next day and bought one for myself. I love how it goes from carpet to hard floor with the flip of a switch. I vacuumed my bedroom with my old vacuum and then re-vacuumed it with my new Shark and I was amazed at how much dirt/dust my old vacuum left behind. It "Lifts Away" very easily for doing the stairs and goes back together just as easily. It's so light I don't mind taking it out for the smallest of jobs. The only complaint I have is the cord, I am constantly running it over. I have to hold it in my hand with the handle as I vacuum.
