What's great about it: Picture is so Accurate!!
What's not so great: Internet password options are limited
I had another Pansonic 58" plazma from 2009 as this one blows it away. And it cost 1/15 the price to power. Watching Tron:Legacy is probably the best picture on this TV. All of the bright colors are so Vivid and defined it is amazing.
I might buy another one for my bedroom soon.

What's great about it: Picture quality, 3D quality is fantastic.
What's not so great: It's heavy
Took some time to attach it to the Sanus wall mount and for the first week I was concerned it'd be to heavy for it, but now that my confidence has grown we swivel and extend the TV in a multitude of directions and love the picture quality, 3D, and overall versatility of the TV.

What's great about it: Picture quality, size, black levels.
What's not so great: Sound, weight.
At first I was a little blown away by the size of this thing coming from a 42" Panasonic GT25. Now that I am used to it I don't ever want to go back. I can see more details than I ever have before and it is just that much more immersive. One possible downside is that I can now see the downgrade in image quality on standard definition sources more prominently. It does a great job of upconverting though and DVDs look good to great depending on the quality of the DVD. Blu-rays look AMAZING on this TV. Wow. I was a little concerned about black levels when I read initial reviews saying it wasn't as good as last year's VT20. Further reviews on CNET have shown that black levels on the VT20 got worse over time while on the VT30 they got better over time. I have noticed a slight improvement over my old GT25. 3D has been great, I notice less crosstalk and better depth than on my GT25. There still is a some rare crosstalk. 3D games such as Gran Turismo 5 have been great. Sound is pretty good for TV speakers, but if you are spending this much on a TV, do yourself a huge favor and get surround sound. Otherwise, save some money and get the ST30 version and use that money to get some decent speakers. The ST30 is close in picture quality and color, not quite as good in black level, and the VT30's frame looks a lot better, but the ST30 is probably the better value, but if you have to have the best of the best, here it is.

What's great about it: Best bet even at original price, now incredible at close-out
What's not so great: The usual highly reflective glass on every plasma set. Should be paired with 3D pass-through receiver.
This was Panasonic's highest-rated, top of the line set for 2011, now with a ridiculously huge discount to make way for the 2012s (which will offer Bluetooth glasses as the only significant upgrade.) This set replaced a 7-year old Sony Bravia XBR 52" LCD. At the time, it also was the highest-rated, top of the line set. While the Sony continues to perform well in another room, the advances in picture quality over the years as evidenced by Panasonic's plasma model are strikingly obvious to even a casual viewer not impressed with stats. LCD has "black." Plasma has infinite levels of black. Detail and definition are extraordinary. There is the usual caveat regarding reflective glass on a plasma. But the real question is, how long will 3D be around? Already, reviewers are noting the murkiness in second-rate films produced in 3D for no good reason. There are still only three movies worthy of the technology: Avatar, Hugo and Werner Herzog's spectacular outlier, Cave of Forgotten Dreams. The upside is, there does not appear to be much of a price premium for a 3D set. It seems that for a while, at least, 3D will be ubiquitous on high-end models. If you watch only the three previously mentioned movies in 3D and never put the glasses on again, you will still have the best performance-to-price ratio TV available today, and probably throughout 2012, or until the last unit in the diminishing stock is sold.

What's great about it: Virtually Everything
What's not so great: Casual gaming results in burn-in after period of several weeks.
While the picture quality is generally above reproach, even casual (2-3 hours per sitting) gaming will leave permanent images on the screen after a month or two. I am on my second Panasonic Viera VT and have experienced identical burn-in issues with both. I hasten to add I have exercised every possible precaution involving "breaking in" the TV and using the "anti image retention" settings.
Luckily I purchased the 4 year protection plan this time, and it covers burn-in. I have a Geek Squad tech visiting today. Assuming Best Buy doesn't want to replace the panel on the TV, I will probably try the Samsung LED LCD instead.

What's not so great: glasses price and only came with one pair
Had a slight problem with my RCA receiver but am working that out. Love the TV and the 3D, dissappointed it only came with one pair of glasses - what's with that? Woudl not buy the Sony glasses, go for the PS3 Glasses they are compatable, cheaper, and have a longer range from tv

What's great about it: Picture quality and black levels
What's not so great: No internet browser
I upgraded my 5 year old Pioneer Elite 50in plasma screen. I've been waiting patiently for Panasonic to integrate as much of the Pioneer technology as possible in to their TVs. I finally could not wait any longer. The blacks on this TV are so much better than my Elite. The picture is crisp and bright. Panasonic has incorporated many of the color menus that the Pioneer had. It was a nice surprise to see the color management that was brought over.
This plasma was installed in a basement, that is typiclally dark during the day as well. The glass on this 65 inch TV has a strong reflection when light shines on it. This could be a problem if you are purchasing for a bright room.
I didn't by this TV for it's internet content, so I can't talk to it. I do have to admit, I was considering the Samsung 8000 with the full internet browser, though realized, I can get all I need from my PS3.
I bought this TV for it's amazing picture quality and black levels. There are many really good TV's out there. I would put this one at or near the top.

What's great about it: Picture, no plasma buzz.
What's not so great: Expensive and hard to find 3D glasses.
I'd already tryed a Samsung plasma and Samsung LED and was not satisfied with ether. I decided go all the way and get the top of the line plasma so maybe I wouldn't have any of the issues that I'ed had with the other sets, I'm glad I did. I thought the picture quality was great on the Samsung plasma (the issue wasn't the picture, see my review of the PN59d550) but it didn't compare to this TV's display. FIirst of all, there is no plasma buzz from this set ,there isn't any brightness poping ether. I tryed some simple calibrations I got from some review sites but the TV's THX picture preset is the best. Colors are viberant but not over saturated, blacks are dark but show fine detail. Motion is very smooth, although I've noticed some jitter on certain satelite programing. This may have been in the signal and not the TV.The 3D is as good as any I've seen but the glasses are expensive and hard to find. The 2012 panasonic 3D TV's will use different glasses so the ones for the VT30 may get even harder to get. There are plenty of imputs for my needs but the need to use adapters puzzels me. No worries though, all the needed imput adapters are included and the work fine. A Wi-Fi adapter is also included and thats great because they cost around $70.00 for other TV's I've seen. I have not used it yet, nor have I tryed any of the smart features of the set. One issue is some static that appers in a line on the top edge of the screen on some programing through the satelite. Panasonic knows about it and calls it normal. This can be fixed by changing the screen size from 2 to 1 under the aspect settings menue. This is not the same as changing the aspect ratio but you do loose 5% of the picture. I just change it when it's called for but I shouldn't have to do it at all. But this is a small flaw in an otherwise great TV.

What's great about it: Display quality
What's not so great: lack of glasses
I upgraded from a Pioneer Elite 50 inch plasma to this Panasonic a month ago and I am completely thrilled. My old TV served me for about 8 years and still works fine but the display on the Pioneer is 1080P and it will do 3D. The picture is exceptional and the 3D is a lot of fun to watch. The only negative thing I can say is that it only came with 1 set of glasses and Panasonic doesn't have any available for order until early April (about 6 weeks). I got a set off Amazon but it's kind of ridiculous that they would be in short supply.

What's great about it: Picture clarity, 3d
What's not so great: inability to move picture up a bit to get rid of some static chatter in certain broadcasts.
Did quite a bit of research on-line and at the store before i settled on this one. The sale price was what finally hooked me but the quality speaks for itself too! The 65" was supposed to be too big for the room but I find no issues at all. Delivery was on-time but leaving the box will pose a problem for recycling. NOTE: Could not try it out before the delivery guys left due to ambient temperature so keep that in mind. The 3-d is good but the up conversion from 2D isn't good at all. Can't speak to the audio since I have a separate system I play it through. ON-line set up is a bit confusing for wireless access. Bought additional 3D glasses on-line ebay and saved a bundle...same goes for cables.

What's great about it: Deep, well-defined black level, sharp picture, accurate color, good price now that it has come down.
What's not so great: Nothing.
Panasonic has done a great job with this TV, the few that have given it a low rating are crazy. Maybe they're used to seeing LED Tv's that are cranked up way to bright and are blinding to watch. That is not how TV is supposed to look. Plasma TV's have a more natural look than any other TV's on the market and Panasonic has done well with this one. The Infinite Black Pro 2 panel is stunning, the blacks are deep and defined. If you loved and miss the Pioneer Elite PRO-151FD, this TV is as close as you can get right now, as it uses virtually the same plasma panel. Movies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings on Blu-ray look superb. The picture is sharp with great detail. Definitely take a look at this TV when out shopping and make the decision for yourself.

What's not so great: i want another one!!!!!! :)
This is the best tv by far for 2011. It has an amazing picture out of the box. Glare on the screen is present because of the glass, but not too bad. The THX mode is pretty darn good. The rest of the settings are not too shabby aswell. Check out cnet.com for calibrations on THX mode and custom mode, really nice. I finally got used to watching tv with true color accuracy and 96hz(movie), 60hz(tv) motion, not super bright, blinding, and blurring(LED TVS). I recommend using vivid for really sunny days only. You have to get this tv or the 55inch if you want plasma, TRUST ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thus is by far the best plasma tv for the money when you catch it on sale. I have a 51 Samsung 7000 in my bedroom and I bought this one the living room. Change the setting to vivid and the tv will blow you away. This tv is way better than the 64inch 8000 Samsung tv.

What's not so great: 1 pair of 3D glasses....very cheap decision Panasonic
What can I say...the VT30 Plasma is simply incredible! My only complaint is that it should come with 2 sets of 3D glasses for $3,000. The picture is incredible, and I was a little nervous going with Plasma because of the brighter room during the day time, etc. It isn't a problem at our house, but it isn't direct sunlight. HD movies and HD sports are what we watch primarily, and it is really something to watch. I would buy this again, and would recommend it to my friends and family. Just so you know, the 65" TV is huge. It didn't look that big in the store, but I'm glad we got it. 55" would have been too small.
