What's great about it: nothing special
What's not so great: Does not meet expectations
This phone was recommended to us by Best Buy personnel for my father-in-law as he is hard of hearing. The base will ring fairly loudly, but the extention, which he uses mostly, doesn't ring loudly at all. We should have taken it back. Also, we still haven't figured out how to set up speed dial, which would make it much easier for him to contact one of us rather than try to find our phone numbers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Loudly announces callers name
I purchased this telephone for my elderly parents who have difficulty hearing and they now have no problem. The ring and speaker are loud and the display is large enough for them to see. They love the phone especially that it announces the callers name. It surely was perfect for them.
I would recommend this to a friend!
