You can't go wrong with Denon or Boston Acustics. Match made in heaven. Great sound, deep depth and really shows your movies and music off with realistic sound and quality.
We bought this system in for our living room and loved it do much that when we bought our 60" 3D for our family room, we bought a 2nd one!
It has 4 HDMI connections and a whole lot of sound!

What's great about it: Great quality at a fair price.
As an audio engineer, it's sometimes difficult to listen to consumer speakers after working on professional near-field monitors all day. However, these speakers provide a quality sound in the room I've installed them in. Be sure you have your speaker configuration setup properly for surround sound in the room. This make a huge difference in your listening experience.
These are mid-range speakers that are in the higher price range, but they are a good value. If you are to compare them to some of the similar competitors in this price range, you won't get a quality sound reproduction like these. If you want a better sound quality you will jump significantly higher in price.
There are many options and opinions, this can not be denied.
"Better sounding" systems range in the higher price and can range in features significantly. The "better sounding" definition varies greatly depending on who's opinion you choose to follow.
Consider this when comparing this product to others. The price range for this quality is a mid range 3 digits. When compared to others, you can jump to a 4 digit price really fast! Especially if you like a lot of bells and whistles (ipad/iphone/android interfacing through apps for example). However this setup provides a great listening experience at a fair price.
You may spend a little more here than some others in the 3 digit price range, but you will be glad you did. Take a listen a local Best Buy store to hear the difference yourself. Then decide how much money you want to spend.

I purchased this along with a TV DVD bundle. Salesman said that the speakers on flat panel TV's aren't the greatest and recommend this sound system. Setup wasn't too bad and for the size of the speakers you get great sound. I still need to do some tweaking, but very satisfied. Has enough HDMI ports for hooking up just about anything you would hook to it.

This unit provides a good sound, for our needs (casual TV watching and gaming). I have not finished installing the rear speakers to get the full surround sound or 3D effect.

For my first system I didn’t want to go all out and spend tons of cash. I wanted to see if I could get good sound on a budget. So I read all the reviews to several HTIB's prior to my purchase. I figured between Denon and Boston Acoustics it at least would give me decent sound. I took a chance on it, I threw in the monster cables, banana clips and delta speaker mounts. I just took my time read the instructions and got through the set up. I am slower than most and the room it was going in needed a lot of work so it took me longer. After the install, I was very pleased with the sound. I 'm still tweaking the sub but I've run a Sony blue ray, I-pod and cable box through it so far between disks, Pandora, Slacker, AM/FM and the I-pod I have been very happy with the quality of sound and clarity. Dark Knight and Transformers was awesome thru it. I got to try the Xbox 36 thru it next. Overall, I'm really happy with it and think if you're considering a set up this won't disappoint you or your wallet. Take the time to read the instruction on the speaker set up it's worth it and get the good wires.
Downside: Set up is a little lengthy for us ADD type & the bass is kind of weak. The iPod hooks up to it but I would like to have a dock thrown in.

Easy to set up. Plug and play right out of the box. If you have a 3D TV and/or a 3D Blu Ray make sure you use 1.4Ghz HDMI cables! I like the quality of the sound. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel like it should have more wattage and include an iPod dock like most of the systems in a box. Overall, great value for the price.

I just upgraded from my older Sony system, after doing some research, I decided to get this system instead of the Yamaha. i have my place pre-wired, so hooking it up was done in less than 20min. set up was simple and the sound quality was superb, by far the best money ever spent.

The only thing that i did not like was i hade to buy a new; conecter for it to get the full surround sound and; it makes a difrents they tolled me that i needed to wirs and i needed three i went to wall mart and i got a nother wire

What's great about it: The rich audio experience
For sound on a budget, you can't beat this. People may complain about the fact that this is under a 1000 watts, but for the smaller home theater room (aka your family/living/great room) you can't beat it! The Boston Acoustics speakers coupled with the performance of the Denon amplifier provides a rich experience when watching movies. You won't go wrong with this purchase. If you got the money and the room for a more powerful system, go for it. MW3 Rocks on this system.

Purchased this system a year ago. Works great and the sound quality is good. the sub wasn't powerful enough for so I upgraded to another. Now I have more then enough bass and I enjoy the system year round.

The initial set up was quite easy with the exception of the so called universal stands I bought for the front satellite speakers. It is in a medium sized room and when I played Super 8 on blue ray the sound was better than expected. The train sequence forced me to turn the subwoofer down to almost half power as the floor and everything around me was shaking a bit more than wanted. If you are looking for an out of the box unit for tv and movies this will be more than adequate. It doesn't have all the features/fine tuning of the Sony unit it replaced but I didn't want spend $1,500+ to buy the individual components.

I purchased the system on Dec. 26th based on the good reviews and recomendation of the salesman. After I got it home and hooked it up to the new tv it sounded pretty good. The sub would make odd noises every once and a while. I had planned on checking into it but then it just stopped working all together. The system went into protect mode 2 or 3 times which my wife became frustrated with because I wasn't home. I figured that there was an exposed wire that was grounding out and I would check it out on the weekend. Once I got home I slowly checked all wires. I fixed the only ones that seemed to be exposed. Afterwards I plugged it in and it worked fine. Then the next day it did the same thing again. I slowly unplugged all speaker wires and continually checked the operation and nothing. Come to find out that it had a bad amplifier or relay inside the box. So after the initial hook up and the removal and testing two different times then having to return the item I am now into it for around 2 hours of wasted time. Products can go bad but 2 weeks after the purchase when my Sony lasted me 7 years is lame. It did sound and work great up to that point.

I had originally purchased a much higher end receiver with $800 speakers ($1100 total) to replace my 4 year old system. These were great don't get me wrong, but after about a week I realized it was a bit over-kill for my living room and what we use the system for. I had seen this Denon system, so I returned everything for this and I tell you what, I have NOT been disappointed. I love the look of the BA speakers and the Denon receiver works great. I will admit it's a bit confusing at times when setting up, wish it has one of those mics, but such is life. I spent less on this system ($550 on sale) then I did for just the speakers and have been more than happy! Going to upgrade my speaker wire in time, but for now it's great.
I did see someone mention something about a "set up lock" function I will look up, sometimes the setting (ie MC Stereo) doesn't stay, but trust me that's not a show stopper! I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a great sound at a very reasonable price!

A great system for little speakers. Friends are surprised to hear such a full range of sound with these small speakers.
The many HDMI ports inputs with 1 output is perfect for my needs. Lesser systems do not have as many HDMI ports that this unit has.
This is a great system for the size and money. A full range system even though it's small.

I bought this product a few days ago and i have been amazed. great sound quality, crisp and clear. it is better then bose. If you are in the market for a home theatre syestm i highly recommend this product. the price is great for this product DO NOT SETTLE FOR LESS. you will not be disappointed with denon. great investment i made this month. i would also recommend getting Monster wire for the speakers for the best results.

Perfect for the price I got it for.. (300.00 open box) Sad due to not having a remote.. Sound quilty is great after buying 16 gauge wire. Sub was slight weak for being a boston sub.. But it works for what I am using it for.. Denon reciever works perfect in delivering top notch sound quilty..
I would really recommend replacing the speaker wires and put the speakers on stands.. And I primise you wont be disappointed about your buy..

First-time Best Buy card user and my first purchase was this Denon System and lemme tell ya guys this is a VERY AWESOME system! Mounting the speakers was a breeze and in my 8ftx8ft room there was enough wiring, maybe for 12ftx12ft and up. The Boston Acoustics speakers are A-MAZINGLY CRISP and ROARING BASS just like you'd get from the theater. The inputs and menus are a lil' intimidating at first but overall navigation is pretty solid with On-Screen menu display. Video games sound AMAZING too BUT found a minor issue with the Bass Level. It was a lol low but a slight turn of the volume nob on the back of the sub woofer solved that issue quick! Overall This sound system isnt a BOSE but pretty dam close!
Im Azur the Moviedragon and I here by give my Denon 5.1 HD Surround Sound System a 4 out of 5!

I was in the market for a quality sound system when i came acroos this system at my local best buy store. I was there to spend big money on a Bose system, but i talked myself out of it because i didnt feel like spending all that money when you are paying so much just for the Bose name. I came across this system and have always been a big fan of Boston Acoustic speakers so i figured what the heck, ill give it a shot.
It was very easy to install and set up, and once it was all set it blew me away.
I popped in Saving Private Ryan to get the full experience and i felt as if i was in the war. You can not beat the quality of this system for the price. A family member of mine had recently purchased a Bose system and to be honest, this system sounds better in my opinion.
Your getting better sound from a $600 system, than a $3000 system, ill take that all day.
This system is quite honestly one of the best sounding all around system i have heard in a while. The ease of use is awesome as well. This system matched with my 60" tv is like sitting in the movie theater for everything i watch. This is a MUST BUY!
