What's not so great: Door handle broke
I got this fridge due to the fact that my previous LG Fridge was a lemon. I picked this one because the reviews where better than some of the other LG fridges.
I like all the space, Ice maker works well, seams to keep the food cold.
Last LG did not do that.
But I have had it less than a week and the freezer door handle broke.
Called Best Buy immediately and they are sending a repair man out.
Hopefully that is the last of my problems with the fridge.

What's great about it: Easy to organize, large volume, very brightly lit
What's not so great: It's wider than the spec, so beware!
Normally I wait for awhile before reporting, but I wanted to get this in quickly to help other buyers. The specs say the unit is 35-3/4 inches wide but it's larger as the unit 'bulges' out on the sides, so it didn't fit at first. We originally got a floor model, but after the unit delivered with new scratches on the front from mishandling at the warehouse, I sent it back, and we negotiated for a new unit. This is of course a whole different issue, and it's not the fridge's fault... But all the floor models have dents/scratches/gouges on the side (a dead givaway of a tight fit).
When we built our kitchen, we had a 36" wide refrig box added to prevent things dropping down the sides of the fridge from the counter. So according to the manual it should have been wide enough to fit. Luckily I had room on the trim so I was able to cut out the opening a little to get the unit in, but others may not have this luxury, so PLEASE check the measurements in your kitchen before purchase.
One advantage if you have a kitchen with limited opening of the doors, there is a space at the bottom of each door inside that allows the bottom tray of the fridge to pull out even with the doors only open 90 degrees. No french door fridge has this feature! Will wait to see how the icemaker holds up, but based on the data in hand, yes I'd recommend this unit (just measure...)

I love the look. The freezer is so easy to organize and the icemaker takes up almost no room. The energy used is less than my last energy saver and it was just 25 cubic feet while this one is 31 cubic feet. The deli drawer is very handy and all 3 produce drawers make it easy to find what I need. It is very quiet, too.

I was hesitant to purchase an LG, on some forums people were complaining on how noisy they are and when I thinking about spending this amount of money it really need to be almost perfect. In choosing this refrigerator the location of the water dispenser had to be situated so that you could fill a big pitcher with water. In the past we always had a Pur water dispenser on the counter next to the refrigerator to fill large items. In our new house I didn't want anything else on the counter. Thus the importance of the water dispenser.
Well this refrigerator fits the bill, we have only had it for 30 days now but are really loving it. It is huge and very easy to find things we had a side by side and would find things weeks later, so far that has not been a problem. Must mention that I have not had a problem with this refrigerator being noisy at all. If you want a large refrigerator I would purchase this one again.

We have had this refrigerator for a little over a month. We love everything about it except it's external dimensions. This thing is HUGE but being almost 31 cu ft inside I can see why. Some complain the door ice maker does not produce enough ice. We are a family of 4 and use a lot of ice. We filled the extra bin but never have needed it. This makes plenty of ice for our family. The interior is well thought out and extremely flexible. My wife loves the fact that she can store 18" pizza boxes in this. Our old side by side had no chance of holding a pizza box. The unit is very quiet and has outstanding features. I can determine quality based on one month but I must say I was rather concerned when the first unit showed up. It looked like it was dropped off a loading dock, The box was perfect so must have happened before it was boxed. So far we are loving this refrigerator!

Although we've only had it installed for less then a week my wife and I are extremly pleased overall. Very roomy ,quiet and well lit. The only complaint we have is we feel the condiment shelving could be a little bigger or maybe just a little wider. Ice quanity isn't great as I've read in most reviews, fortunately were not real big ice users, but hey it works we haven't had one thats worked right yet and totally love that it's intergrated in door and doesn't take up valuable room in the freezer. Love the fact that you can open either door separately unlike alot of others we looked at. One last complaint it's so roomy I don't think we could ever fill it (lol)

What's great about it: The amount of food you can put in refrigerator
What's not so great: Only had about two weeks so far no complaints
I did research on french door refrigerators for over a month. I looked at many brands and kept coming back to LG. This is the hands down largest and still the most attractive one I found. We are a family of five and have a secondary freezer for all frozen items. What I liked most was the amount of food you can keep in just the refrigerator section. I kept going back and forth between the 27.6 and 31.0 about $ 300 difference. The 31.0 has much better drawers and lighting. At the end of the day trust me you will be happy you purchased the larger unit.

Spent a lot of time researching prior to purchase. I love the ice maker in the door and the adjustable shelves. The noise from the fan in the freezer is terrible. About once a week, the whole freezer needs to be disassembled to get to the fan, which makes a terrible noise. The drawers are a pain to disassemble and put back. I'm glad our house has a lot of square footage to escape the noise. I feel I spent too much money for a product that is such a hassle

This refrig has to be by far the best one on the market today; you get what you pay for and so very much more! The room is unbelieveable in both the refrig and then the freezer compartments. You want cold milk, okay, but it you want nice cold milk that tastes great then this is for you. Want fresh lunch meat without empting the frig out, you need a bigger self for her flowers and the bottle of wine, this one is for you. We have had 3 different frigs in 5 years and this is the first one that my wife and I can actually say without a doubt... We love it! Thanks to our sales girl for recommending it to us!

I am thrilled with my new LG refrigerator! It is attractive, extremely spacious and practical. I love that the compressor turns off when you open the door so that you don't waste the cool air into the kitchen. I love the warm lights inside and out that don't shine too bright in your eyes but instead have a romantic feeling. I even love the shape of the little ice cubes; they are square instead of a half-moon. This refrigerator utilizes every inch of space possible.
Like all things that are computerized, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty just in case. I'm sure if something breaks on this refrigerator, it will be very costly.

This style refrigerator is great to live with but the shelf configuration is taking some time to get used to. The light inside both compartments is really bright and having the freezer on the bottom is working out well. The many storage compartments and drawers are very handy. The delivery was on time and well done. We were set up and the old machine hauled away in no time. Glad we purchased this refrigerator.

Anytime I make a large purchase I always do my due dilgence in checking out the item. This fridge was rated #1 by Consumer Reports as well as on the Best Buy Website. It did not disappoint. Even though it is just my husband and I, we love to entertain and this fridge is great with the wide shelves and french doors. Has incredible amount of room. Only issue we had is when it was delivered, the techs plugged it in and it worked three minutes and died???? Best Buy delivered another one the next day (after some coaxing) and now all is well...extremely happy with this purchase.

My old side by side died right before Thanksgiving and it was the best thing ever! I got this on black Friday so the price was good. And we hosted Christmas this year so with 15 people here the timing was perfect. The size is amazing, I got tons of food in it including my 27 lb turkey. Loved the fact the ice maker was in the door but wasn't sure if there would be enough ice so filled the ice bin that is supplied. Never needed it, ice was never an issue. The lighting is great, love the 3 drawers in the freezer. And like another reviewer said it fit perfect in the space where my old smaller side by side was. Beautiful fridge.

This unit actually fits better than the previous side by side unit but has provided more storage. Motor operates quietly, and the interior lighting is great. The appliance has a great exterior appearance.

Our old refrigerator was a Samsung side-by-side. We had persistent issues with the ice maker, and finally it got to be too much. We shopped around, and this LG appeared to be the ticket for our family. We bought it on sale ($800 off); without the sale, we probably would have gone a different direction. It has wonderful style and utility. The size is great, and is enhanced by the easy access to all areas. Lighting is wonderful, and it is extremely quiet. Love the internal drawers in the freezer, and it's great to have a great ice maker and water dispenser. Controls are relatively simple for such a sophisticated refrigerator. Overall, it's been a great purchase so far, but do wait for a sale!
